Re: XB-202a stealth revision (I fixed the deep links)

In lugnet.space, Jon Walker wrote: Snip snip (...) A most impressive build, Jon. In addition to what others have said, I especially like how you used the hinge plates for the control surfaces; it is a most elegant solution and very realistic in its (...) (22 years ago, 3-Mar-04, to lugnet.space)

My next moc: unfolding the history

Hi to all of you, I have just finished tearing apart my latest moc (pics will come up soon) and I am starting a new one. Since I had a lot of questions about where i get my ideas, i have decided to try starting a thread explaining the history of my (...) (22 years ago, 3-Mar-04, to lugnet.space)

Re: Sightseeing Cruiser spotted on Brickshelf

(...) Thanks for pointing this stuff out. I have to agree that this guy's work is worth a closer look. There is so much inspiring stuff out there, it's hard to keep up. I especially like his Thunderbird MOC: (URL) as Thunderbirds was the first space (...) (22 years ago, 3-Mar-04, to lugnet.space)

(...) imparessive. The landing gear are excellent, and it's amazing that you were able to make SNOT wings work at that large a scale. I sincerely hope you're able to bring this to a Sealug meeting one of these days. -Grand Admiral .space Curator (...) (22 years ago, 3-Mar-04, to lugnet.space, FTX)

Re: XB-202a stealth revision (I fixed the deep links)

Paul, Thanks for your comments. I've been a lurking fan of your work for some time. In my opinion, the Empyrean Flame is among the best Lego spaceships ever. I would be honered if you chose to use a similar wing design. I'm going to post an (...) (22 years ago, 3-Mar-04, to lugnet.space)

Re: XB-202a stealth revision (I fixed the deep links)

Mladen, I appreciate your comments, especially since your "Mammoth Next-Generation Hovertank" is one of my all-time favorite MOCs. It completely changed the way I think about color. More ordinance? I had originally designed the wings with two (...) (22 years ago, 3-Mar-04, to lugnet.space)

Re: StudWars presents : .castle vs. .space !!!

(...) Can you imagine a StuWars between .train and... hmmm.... ? That's the thing here. There's a rivalry between .space and .castle that I can't explain, that I don't fully understand, but it's there. People laugh about it, people make jokes, etc. (...)   Re: StudWars presents : .castle vs. .space !!!

(...) I'd grant the point on the prefab walls (though Allister has a great use in the thread below), but personally I never use those for castles. My structures tend to be all about basic bricks and plates, add in some slopes and arches and a few (...) (22 years ago, 3-Mar-04, to lugnet.castle, lugnet.space, lugnet.general, FTX)

Re: Moonbase at Brickfest... how was it planned?

(...) That's a really cool idea if it's feasible to do something like that. I don't think MichLUG has that luxury, since the bulk of our Moonbase capacity is split between Indiana and Canada. Our solution is simply making sure that we all confirm (...) (22 years ago, 3-Mar-04, to lugnet.space, FTX)

Re: Sightseeing Cruiser spotted on Brickshelf

(...) I totally agree. I just wasn't sure how many of the older ones might have already been discussed, but you're right to point out the link to the rest of his work. The cruiser *seemed* like it might be a newer one (showing up under the recent (...) (22 years ago, 3-Mar-04, to lugnet.space)

  Re: sPace3800 - P38 contest entry

(...) Yeah, I tried a few things, and decided I liked it better flat. Oh well. (...) Yup, that's new dark grey (dkstone as they call it), along with old regular grey for highlights.   Sightseeing Cruiser spotted on Brickshelf

I apologize in advance if this has been posted/discussed elsewhere... But this wonderful little model caught my eye on Brickshelf and I just thought it deserved a quick mention: (URL) love both the shape of it and the color scheme. Nice work. Best (...) (22 years ago, 3-Mar-04, to lugnet.space)

Re: XB-202a stealth revision (I fixed the deep links)

(...) Thats a really nice piece of SNOT engineering on a large scale. I would like to seem more photos detailing the wing construction if possible. I like the "plywood" approach to add strength to the wing. Probably really helps to keep them from (...) (22 years ago, 3-Mar-04, to lugnet.space)

  Re: sPace3800 - P38 contest entry

(...) Wow, I really liked your entry. I like how you built the engine pods and used the LOM canopy. One thing it could use is a way to "round-off" the front of the canopy. Maybe a 4x4 half-sphere or 4x4 radar dish or something. It just looks a (...) (22 years ago, 3-Mar-04, to lugnet.space, FTX)

Re: XB-202a stealth revision (I fixed the deep links)
