Re: MOC: Puffin Personal Runabout —Leonard Hoffman
(...) Gil, this is really quite nice. I especially like the studless appearance. This moc is telling me something. It is telling me to get off my high horse and go make something using yellow. The color scheme really makes it all snap! Small moc are (...) (21 years ago, 4-Jul-03, to lugnet.space, FTX)

Re: MOC: Puffin Personal Runabout —Gil Shaw
(...) Thanks Lenny...the big bin of yellow has received almost zero use to date, and it looks so appealling I thought it would be fun to use in a little throwaway like this guy. One of my New Year's resolutions? Build with more colour. And clean out (...) (21 years ago, 4-Jul-03, to lugnet.space, FTX)

Re: MOC: Puffin Personal Runabout —Allister McLaren
(...) Still waiting for that big ship you keep threatening to build :), but in the meantime your small stuff is second to none IMNSHO, and this is no exception. I like the 'verticalness' of this one, and the jack stone parts fit in very nicely as (...) (21 years ago, 4-Jul-03, to lugnet.space, FTX)

Re: MOC: Puffin Personal Runabout —Gil Shaw
(...) Curse you and your stenographic memory, Allister. :) (...) You are far too kind, sir...my thanks for the kudos. This guy was really a short little excercise to just get to build SOMETHING. Other events have been gobbling up my time recently so (...) (21 years ago, 4-Jul-03, to lugnet.space, FTX)

Re: MOC: Puffin Personal Runabout —Jason Whittenburg
(...) Wow, I like it... Good shape, colors, use of parts! I'll take two, need one for the vacation home ya know... -Jason (21 years ago, 4-Jul-03, to lugnet.space, FTX)

Re: MOC: Puffin Personal Runabout —Paul Baulch
(...) What a clever design, from the JS intakes to the little landing gear, and the neat way the wings and hatch work together for access... kudos for using yellow well, too. The overall shape of the ship bugs me, and I don't know why because it's a (...) (21 years ago, 4-Jul-03, to lugnet.space, FTX)

Re: MOC: Puffin Personal Runabout —Gil Shaw
(...) Thanks Paul! As said upthread, this was a quick n' dirty little thing just to get my hands in the bricks again before I forgot how. I always liked how that canopy was combined with the hinge plates vertically w/SNOT...just playing around with (...) (21 years ago, 4-Jul-03, to lugnet.space, FTX)

Re: MOC: Puffin Personal Runabout —Chris Maddison
(...) Well...if you insist. I just don't dig this one. I mean, I like the colors, and the intakes are nifty looking, but the overall shape just isn't pleasing to me. It seems too tall or top-heavy. Maybe if the wings jutted back upwards, or (...) (21 years ago, 4-Jul-03, to lugnet.space, FTX)

Re: MOC: Puffin Personal Runabout —Gil Shaw
(...) Hehe...I can always count on you Chris for terse honesty in your feedback. Good to see it again...you and it have been missed. :) In part I agree with the shape issues (see my reply to Paul for the details). I like the rear, 3/4 angle, but (...)          Re: MOC: Puffin Personal Runabout —Chris Maddison
(...) Mama always said if you don't have something nice to say, don't say anything at all. But this is part of my concerted effort to get back into the swing of things, if you will. (...) Aah, the irony. Very good sir. -Chris (21 years ago, 4-Jul-03, to lugnet.space, FTX)

Re: MOC: Puffin Personal Runabout —Sylvia Tresto
(...) Lovely little ship in the best colour scheme I can imagine (just take a look at my own creations...) and I can see in my mind's eye many of these little fellas moving around in some futuristic setting. Thanx for sharing and keep up the good (...) (21 years ago, 4-Jul-03, to lugnet.space, FTX)

Re: MOC: Puffin Personal Runabout —Gil Shaw
(...) Many thanks Sylvi! They would be a blast to head off to town in...so long as they don't run into any of those Templar tuffs. ;) Cheers, -G (21 years ago, 4-Jul-03, to lugnet.space, FTX)

Re: MOC: Puffin Personal Runabout —Sylvia Tresto
(...) I just finished copying this ship to get some more building practice in and I am awed how swooshable this is despite the rather awkward design. It is just so cute and small this! Love again, Sylvi (21 years ago, 5-Jul-03, to lugnet.space, FTX)

Re: MOC: Puffin Personal Runabout —Gil Shaw

Re: MOC: Puffin Personal Runabout —Paul Hartzog
(...) this is what I like and can't do, just sit down and build some small cool thing. I have to plan, build, and rebuild, and then rebuild some more even to do small stuff excellent work, G -paul (2 URLs) Paul Hartzog (URL) Et In Arcadia Lego> (...)          Re: MOC: Puffin Personal Runabout —Gil Shaw
(...) But it pays off so well! Don't change a thing. :) (...) Thanks Paul...and thanks to your Triumvirae for a little help with the sloped hinge walls. Cheers, -G (21 years ago, 4-Jul-03, to lugnet.space, FTX)

Re: MOC: Puffin Personal Runabout —Jamie Neufeld
(...) Ahh the master of small ships strikes again. Cool little ship there Gil. Of course if I was a teenager of the future, I wouldn't be caught dead flying in one of those things ;). Jamie www.ozbricks.com/jneufeld (21 years ago, 4-Jul-03, to lugnet.space, FTX)

Re: MOC: Puffin Personal Runabout —Andrew Saada
(...) Gil, As has been said, less is always more with your creations. No need to be labeling your move a "cheapening out"; coming up with a cool lil design is in no way a piece of a piece of cake (that was bad ;-P ). Anyway, the overall form is (...)          Re: MOC: Puffin Personal Runabout —Gil Shaw
(...) Many thanks Andrew...I always try for economy with my designs. It gives me a good excuse to be continually lazy. ;) I love that whip antenna...I think I've used it about a gillion times since I first swiped it from some other poor soul. Helps (...)      (...) Hey, small can be cool! This is great. I love the shape, and use of those yellow highlight pieces is just great. You've really nailed the look of a really small MOC down. Cool.         Re: MOC: Puffin Personal Runabout —Philip Painter
(...) Not a cop-out at all. I like small detailed stuff. And I like seeing personal civilian craft. The color scheme and SNOT is great. I really like it.
