Yeah, I keep thinking of the E.L.V module in Aliens 3 for the bridge. That
thing looked from the outside like an oversized K-nex element.
A detachable bridge is a good idea...sort of like the enterprise
1701-A...the saucer was supposed to be detachable from the engineering
section provided the pylon was purpously destroyed by the crew. The offset
size of your bridge would lend well to that, and it's streamlined design
would make it an excellent emergency re-entry vehicle. If you do that, then
you want to have some engines and life support in the back where you're
considering an ELV.
Anyways, what I'd like to see is the captain's quarters, and access hatches
within the bathroom and storage closet to the torpedo pylons. That would be
a need idea.
I suppose that the engine dudes have to skinny around the engine to access
the gear and plasma conduits near the secondary thrusters and such? :-)
I'm just pokin'. It's all good from what I can see. Most excellent
battleship you have there.
