Re: Eastern Block's New Android: IGOR-3

(...) Mr.Saada Thanks! I think wheels will prolly be on robots before legs are. When you think about it, balancing yourself and walking about are intensely complicate things to do, and I suspect if we want thinking robots, we'll have to sacrafice (...)   Re: Eastern Block's New Android: IGOR-3

(...) You know, I don't think my scientists even considered that. we'd been using fleeb droppings as robot power cells for years! this is beginning to make a lot of sense. I'll send this report on down to the Scientific Research Subdirectorate right (...) (22 years ago, 18-Jun-03, to lugnet.space, FTX)

  Re: New MOC: DYAD

(...) shnippy (...) You know Bram, what I like best about your trademark stuff (which this is) is that it exists in that grey area between technic and system compatible design. It's almost like neo-Bauhaus stuff...the support structure visible, but (...) (22 years ago, 18-Jun-03, to lugnet.space, lugnet.technic, FTX)

  StarCraft MOC's - Terran BattleCruiser

Hi ya All Seeing as Microfig models are on the board I thought it would be a good time to post some pics of a Microfig MOC I did a few months back. Nowhere near as detailed as Paul's "Empyrean Flame" and her Sister ship "Lance of Athena". But anyway (...) (22 years ago, 18-Jun-03, to lugnet.space)

  Re: MOC: Spy Prawn

(...) Allister, Very nice, I have to echo what every one else says. You've made a very organic, critter like shape, it does remind me of a prawn. Thanks, George (22 years ago, 18-Jun-03, to lugnet.space, FTX)

  Re: MOC: Spy Prawn

(...) I really like this guy, Allister. I spotted it on Brickshelf yesterday whilst cruising through. The articulated spine makes it look totally organic...throw in the tendrils and you got yourself a very rare sidedish. As I was scrolling thru, I (...)   Re: The Flame and The Lance

(...) Yep, one big 9V battery pack each... ;-) (...) What can I say, I feel that it's my best effort so far. It's going to be hard to top it. (...) Go for it. I look forward to seeing it at a future MUGS meeting. Cheers, (URL) Sci-Fi LEGO> (22 years ago, 18-Jun-03, to lugnet.space, FTX)

Re: The Flame and The Lance

(...) Thanks Dan :-) (...) I guess, given all the interior stuff which is presumably what you mostly mean. I found that micro was a great way to concentrate on different kinds of ship features that I wouldn't work on in minifig. (...) Well, you (...) (22 years ago, 18-Jun-03, to lugnet.space, FTX)

Re: The Flame and The Lance

(...) I know I've said it before Paul but I really do love these ships. your fleet is starting to scare me a little though, so much power! (...) it isn't as "Impressive" at first glances as the "big" one (or the "Flame" if you want to get correct (...) (22 years ago, 18-Jun-03, to lugnet.space)

Re: The Flame and The Lance

Excellent work, Paul! Great form and styling on both ships. I'm glad you made these ships in microfig scale. Obviously, it gave you much more freedom of design and it looks like you did have a lot of fun. I think you pulled it off very well at this (...) (22 years ago, 18-Jun-03, to lugnet.space, FTX)

Re: Rule No. 1 (was CT-150 Industrial Transport Shuttle)

(...) I'd definitely like to see that. Keep in mind, though, that I wasn't saying it wouldn't look cool with big areas of studs - I'd want to see an example where it didn't seem like an improvement to build anything on those areas. Cheers, (URL) (...) (22 years ago, 18-Jun-03, to lugnet.space, FTX)

  New sub group lugnet.space.moc

Hi all, I do not know if this has been asked before (I think so). But is it possible to create a group within .space for people to show their MOCs? This way the beautiful creations will not get lost in all other threads with general discussion. Jaco (22 years ago, 18-Jun-03, to lugnet.space)

  Re: New MOC: DYAD

Very cool! It's good to see someone finally making it work! And a good use of Znap too. -"Insectiods, meet Znap!" -"Znap, meet Insectoids!" -"I'm leaving you kids now, here's your baby-sitter Technic! Behave now!" And behave they did! (22 years ago, 18-Jun-03, to lugnet.space, lugnet.technic)

Re: The Flame and The Lance

(...) Thanks Keith, actually I think a lot of the detail effect comes from the stickers/printing, they went well with just a modest amount of greeblies. Stickers and printed parts, if you find just the right application for them, can look really (...) (22 years ago, 18-Jun-03, to lugnet.space, FTX)

Re: The Flame and The Lance

(...) Thank you, Richie for organising the meeting, otherwise not many people would have had the chance! (...) Yeah, I agree. Although I mainly just chose white because I had a lot of it :-) Cheers, (URL) Sci-Fi LEGO> (22 years ago, 18-Jun-03, to lugnet.space, FTX)

Re: The Flame and The Lance

Re: New MOC: Hover Limo with Police Escort

(...) Hah! You actually used sprues on this? That's hilarious. Anyways, I really like the use of chrome accents, especially around the bumper, with one exception.   Re: The Flame and The Lance

(...) I'll be making two micro-scale ships from the parts of this one, you know. (...) It's all about the hangars. The hangar design for the Lance is meant to be economical, with well-protected bays to launch fighters effectively. (...) I (...) (22 years ago, 18-Jun-03, to lugnet.space, FTX)

Re: The Flame and The Lance

(...) Yeah, there's definitely a time and a place for stickers. That UCS X-Wing sticker sheet is great for microscale - but I would definitely pick and choose what parts I'm sticking them on. White parts worked well because the clear part of the (...) (22 years ago, 18-Jun-03, to lugnet.space, FTX)
