Re: the second creation from the planet skittles [were everything tastes of the rainbow]

(...) Heh! "Planet Skittles", I like it. Sounds more space-y than "rainbow warrior", it could be our new colloquialism. "Oooh dunno, looks a bit too Planet Skittles to me..." (...) Wow! I didn't know you could fit a minifig in those. Good idea! (...) (21 years ago, 2-Jun-03, to lugnet.space)

  Manta Airspeeder

Check out our latest MOC from our homepage, Manta Airspeeder; (URL) have been in the Speeder Chase diorama but I didn't have the pieces to build it. The design was based from an AOTC book which had concept art drawings of an airspeeder that looked (...)   Re: Fighter from Starship Troopers

(...) Really bold approach doing this fighter. I like it alot. -Rick (21 years ago, 2-Jun-03, to lugnet.build, lugnet.space)

  Re: taking good photos

(...) I don't think I am. :-) I'm not saying that the end result of a 2x-downsampled 10x digital zoom will look any better in 24-bit color than a native 5x optical zoom would look in 24-bit color. It won't. What I'm saying is that a 2x-downsampled (...) (21 years ago, 2-Jun-03, to lugnet.space, lugnet.publish.photography)

Re: The best thing to ever happen to lego...

(...) They are apparently also available in set (URL) #10028 Level Crossing>. Sources say it'll be $50 for 325 pieces. Also, I think 10028 has better pieces for space creations ((URL) see here>) Hope this helps, (URL) (21 years ago, 2-Jun-03, to lugnet.space, FTX)

  Re: Kemuel?

(...) Are you saying they're prone to temple tantrums? Allister (21 years ago, 2-Jun-03, to lugnet.space)

  Re: Kemuel?

(...) Hey, that's fun to know. Thanks for bringing this to my attention, and to the attention of all members who haven't voted yet - they should keep in mind that the wrath of the Temple is not to be invoked lightly... Love, Sylvi (21 years ago, 2-Jun-03, to lugnet.space)

  Re: Dilema

(...) Here's an interesting tale. Shortly after posting this K-Mart dropped the price of this set to AU$28. 'Sold' I thought, and went to pick one up only to find stocks had vanished. 'Bummer' I thought, and let it go. Fast forward to last Saturday, (...) (21 years ago, 1-Jun-03, to lugnet.space)

  Re: It's a Mech...It's a plane...It's, uh, both?

(...) Thanks, I really enjoyed building it. Unfortunately, I'm pushing the limits of my grey hinge collection, so the next one I build (and there WILL be a next one) will have to be some other color majority. (...) The two modes did turn out (...) (21 years ago, 1-Jun-03, to lugnet.space, lugnet.build.mecha)

Re: The best thing to ever happen to lego...

(...) along the top, whereas the Alpha Team canopy has only 2x2. It also has a 45º slope rather than a 33º. Allister (21 years ago, 1-Jun-03, to lugnet.space)

Re: The best thing to ever happen to lego...

(...) Geez, I just now noticed that the same pieces come 2x each in the RC Nitro Flash in light-green. I feel blind... (...) I believe I mentioned something about the partial sidewalls, but I'm also fairly certain that the "new" bullet-train canopy (...) (21 years ago, 1-Jun-03, to lugnet.space)

  Re: Kemuel?

(...) It's up for "Cool Lego Site of the Week" this week. (URL) (21 years ago, 1-Jun-03, to lugnet.space)

Re: The best thing to ever happen to lego...

(...) I highly doubt I do, but it comes in a variety of sets, including: 4587 Duel Racers 4585 Nitro Pulverizer 4589 RC Nitro Flash 4511 High Speed Train 7031 Helicopter (which also shows four white half-bushings in the 2003 PB?) 4793 Ogel Shark Sub (...) (21 years ago, 1-Jun-03, to lugnet.space)

  Re: Prototyping

(...) Me too. Check out Kotaro Ono's very cool racing team truck for an excellent example of this idea. If I had enough of those curved pieces, I'd be using it myself. (URL) (21 years ago, 1-Jun-03, to lugnet.build.mecha, lugnet.space, FTX)

  Re: Set Phasers on... BUILD

Stuart, you have captured the phaser perfectly, right down to the dial on top of the phaser 1. I was wondering if the phaser1 can separate? Again, very cool moc. You should give the communicator or tricorder a shot. Lookout! Phaser on overload! (...) (21 years ago, 1-Jun-03, to lugnet.space, FTX)

Re: The best thing to ever happen to lego...

(...) If you mean the 1/2-canopy part itself, it's well-known, if only from the 2002 Ep II Slave I (where they are in both sand-green and dark blue). The middle canopy-part is of course new, and in trans-black they'd also be new new new new. And (...) (21 years ago, 1-Jun-03, to lugnet.space)

  Re: Set Phasers on... BUILD

(...) Right on! I've always loved your scale work and this is great. The detail and 'natural' look it has. (URL) What lighting setup did you use? The picture is just perfect, the model not over-exposed but the background still 'pure' white. Any (...) (21 years ago, 1-Jun-03, to lugnet.space, FTX)

  Fighter from Starship Troopers

In the process of updating my Brickshelf gallery I realized that I never posted any Pics of my fighter based on the designs from the movie "Starship Troopers". So here here they are: Post Moderation: (URL) Jim F. (21 years ago, 1-Jun-03, to lugnet.build, lugnet.space)

  Re: Kemuel?

A heretic found classified pictures of an experimental New Templar Order craft. This is unacceptable. Anyway, glad you spotted it, Paul. I wanted to put the story up today, but the weather was just too good to stay inside, so it has to wait. (...) (...) (21 years ago, 1-Jun-03, to lugnet.space)
