  Re: New Fad?

(...) Perhaps the requirement be that the ship is "functional" so to speak: i.e., there is crew access, and it won't tip to one side or the other when landed. Jeff Benson jbenso1@towson.edu (21 years ago, 8-Apr-03, to lugnet.space)

(...) Sorry for responding to my own post ... Anne: I got your email, but I keep getting "error" messages back telling me they aren't being sent. The link is: (URL) - Towson's mascot is a Tiger :D (21 years ago, 8-Apr-03, to lugnet.space)

  Re: New Fad?

(...) Ok. I have to strongly disagree here. In my legoverse landing gear is an easily exploitable weakness on military ships. Landing gear on my military ships (any size that can land) is always built directly into the hull of the ship to eliminate (...) (21 years ago, 8-Apr-03, to lugnet.space)

  Re: MOC Sparrow

(...) It's a nice design. I find your use of that 4x4 engine intake piece very strange, though - I think it's to do with it being an intake piece but you've hidden it away on the inside. Not that there's anything wrong with that. The ship reminds me (...) (21 years ago, 8-Apr-03, to lugnet.space)

  MXL Advanced Fighter

The idea here is that the original m-wing scout ship was pulled out of storage a hundred years later and turned into a fighter. Check it out! :-) (URL) j o n ] -- (URL) (21 years ago, 8-Apr-03, to lugnet.announce.moc, lugnet.build, lugnet.space, lugnet.starwars) !

  Re: USS Okazaki NCC-1960 WIP

(...) I think I saw the same one. That's a good idea! (...) Oh, yes please! I was going to base the movie designs off "Spike's Uniform Page" (I can't find the address right now, but I have it on my home PC). (...) I hadn't been ... until now. But, (...) (21 years ago, 8-Apr-03, to lugnet.space)

(...) BaronSat's version of the TOS bridge? Yep, that's a beaut. (...) I saw a gorgeous train round house done using hinged 1x2 bricks, so you might be able to use those. (...) lol! Can't look worse than Reliant did! (...) If you want, I think I (...) (21 years ago, 8-Apr-03, to lugnet.space)

  Re: New Mecha: J-88 Firebrand

Ha! I like it! Lots of character...not a mecha in the Japanese anime sense, but very cool as a robot with soul. more impressive than the mini - mecha lego is coming out with in their new sets... Later, Chris (...) (21 years ago, 8-Apr-03, to lugnet.build.mecha, lugnet.space)

(...) Hah! I wish I had seen that ... do you know where there are pictures? Dead fleebnorks, now why did I think of that. Ooooh! Inspiration: a bunch of "space hippies" with placards that read: "No Blood for Fleebnorks!" :) Maaaaan. Now I really (...) (21 years ago, 7-Apr-03, to lugnet.space)

  Re: New Fad?

Did you see the "Life on Mars" Truck Tour? That was quite cool..as I recall, there was the following: monkeys around a tall black object (think the dimensions were 1:4:9) martians spray painting graffiti on the side of the disco wall a martian (...) (21 years ago, 7-Apr-03, to lugnet.space)

Re: More Legoland California Space Shuttle Pictures

  Cougar X-5

Well, I'm nearing the end of my blitz of new MOCs. This is one of my favorites. I don't have enough pieces to build a really good large mech, so I stay small. I was inspired by another mech I saw on brickshelf, but I can't find it at the moment. (...) (21 years ago, 7-Apr-03, to lugnet.space, lugnet.build.mecha)

  Re: New Fad? Multi-Level Moonbase

(...) I agree with Fred's sentiments on this. I have thought about building more modules myself, but time is not likely to allow more than one more out of me before BrickFest. My concept for my next one will allow for at least three levels, maybe (...) (21 years ago, 7-Apr-03, to lugnet.space)

  Re: MOC Sparrow

Hey, thanks for the comments, Nathan. Yeah, there is a lot of grey. I usually shape things and figure out the framework with one color and then work other colors into it. I may fiddle with the color scheme yet. And the intake piece is from 8465. (...) (21 years ago, 7-Apr-03, to lugnet.space)
