  RCX to RCX NQC

One last email on this topic. There's new opcodes in the Swan firmware to support many data bytes in a single "mailbox" message. The standard firmware supports "mailbox" messages with a single byte parm. I found this very restrictive in building RCX (...) (19 years ago, 15-Sep-05, to lugnet.robotics.rcx)

I've only just downloaded 3.3.7.10 having played with 3.3.7.7 for a week [using a serial tower and WinXP] and Vers.10 does seem to have a problem communicating , it sometimes cannot set a program running:The RCX shows the recieving triangle (...)   ROM image using USB tower

Hi, I'm doing a project at University involving developing some example programs running on a Lego RCX in order to demonstrate/teach OS concepts. I'd really like to get hold of a ROM image from the RCX, but I only have a USB tower available, and (...) (21 years ago, 12-Nov-03, to lugnet.robotics.rcx)

Re: Serial to USB Adapters for iMac

(...) "no reply from RCX" is probably not an adapter problem. My first guess would be that the RCX doesn't have firmware loaded (If you see "00.00" on the display, firmware is loaded, if you just see an icon and "1", then it isn't). Second guess (...)   Serial to USB Adapters for iMac

Hello Up until yesterday my nephew has been using the Xircom USB to Serial adapter on an iMac (Blueberry 350 ) with MPW NQC quite successfully. Turns out it was pretty easy to add in a new set of states so it can process a standard OpCode & store the parameters in variables. At this point, I'm not (...) Here are some comments on how to improve your code for real-time performance. 1. Move the "SetUserDisplay" out of the loop and put it just before the loop. 2.
