| | pbFORTH needs better uploading, docs
|
| So I've just been crawling over some broken glass, ERR, I mean, uploading pbFORTH text files to the RCX! It's hard to tell the difference! At the least, pbFORTH needs to: 1) accept \n, \r, \n\r or \r\n all as it does a single \r now. 2) have a mode (...) (25 years ago, 8-Jan-00, to lugnet.robotics.rcx.pbforth)

| (...) programs with the Spirit.OCX. I coded a huge program, with lots of tasks and subroutines, and long stretches of code. When I try to download it, I get the dots and then AsyncronBrickError returns Error 2048 (not 100% certain about the number) (...) (25 years ago, 2-Oct-99, to lugnet.robotics.rcx.nqc)

| | Re: CPR for RCX?

| (...) I knew Assembler would come into play sooner or later. I have downloaded a copy of the H8/300 Assembly language spec. What I still don't understand is how you turn the object code into 'S'-type records with 'ld'? (...) Can I assume the RCX has (...) (22 years ago, 1-Jul-02, to lugnet.robotics.rcx.pbforth)

| | Electrical Data Link between 2 RCXs
|
| The following describes an "electrical data link" (one direction) between 2 RCXs (see also my subject "Connecting 2 RCXs"). The task is that one RCX sends a number (e.g. a status) to another RCX via a cable. The IR link cannot be used because they (...) (24 years ago, 25-Oct-00, to lugnet.robotics.rcx.nqc)

If you take an COTS rf module, such as those from Siemens or Montorolo, or for example the bluetooth sample module, (though I used one from a cheap radio shack wireless phone) you'll find that the di and do have very similar voltages and (...) | | Banging on the tasker
|
| (...) That's my plan. The nice thing about the tasker is that people can write code in a format they are more used to. The same things can be done with event driven single task code but it inverts the control flow. It is more meaningful for most (...) (24 years ago, 3-May-00, to lugnet.robotics.rcx.pbforth)

| Hi Les, I've been advocating gdb for quite some time now, great to hear about your efforts. Les Smithson schrieb: (...) My manual says opcodes 0x57nn are unallocated on H8/300. Could this be a Super-H opcode? H8 gdb seems to be tinted in favour of (...) (25 years ago, 18-Feb-00, to lugnet.robotics.rcx.legos)

|
| It's me again with the subject "electrical datalink between 2 RCXs" (I posted some articles a couple of weeks ago). This subject may seem trivial but in fact it is not. Dealing with it, I discovered some "unpleasanties" in the general execution of (...) (24 years ago, 26-Mar-01, to lugnet.robotics.rcx.nqc)

| Hi! I'm working on a final year CS project which involves getting a lego robot to explore and map its maze-like environment, locate start and finish markers, then run between them. This is working pretty well, but I'd like to be able to download the (...) (24 years ago, 28-Feb-01, to lugnet.robotics.rcx.legos)

| | Re: IRPD sensors and LegOS (long)
|
| Since IRPD doesn't use the upper half of the sensor range (above 512), it looks like it could easily be multiplexed with a touch sensor. Has anyone tried this? | | Re: A/C Adapter for RCX 1.0

| | Re: Powered Sensors
|
| No, the RCX knows nothing about the diodes. That is why devices like the light sensor only send a current signal in the range 0 - 0.32mA back to the RCX. This current then creates a voltage drop across the 10k reference resistor with respect to the (...) (22 years ago, 7-May-02, to lugnet.robotics.rcx.legos)
