I have recently begun using the Handyboard with the non-commercial version of IC. My PC runs Windows ME. I was unable to get IC to communicate with the HB until I booted the PC in safe mode. Hey Chris... I have made my final-year project as an "Intelligent Fire-Fighting Mobile Robot". (...) Edgar, Some times I have the same problem getting into bootstrap mode. Usually if I charge the board for a while it will go away or sometimes pressing lightly on the LCD screen while turning the board on will help. This may not be a good sign (...) Hello Handyboarders, I hve a few questions regarding IR demodulation. Fred's book shows both the GP1US2 and the IS1U60 IR demodulators but only shows how to hook up the GP1US2. If you were starting C development on the handyboard today what compiler would you go for ? There seems to be a least 2 free IC and GNU-GCC and 2 commercial ICC and netwon labs ? I´m a new user on the HB, and whne I rey to get the bootstrap mode just I can't it suppose the 2 leds (red and green) should be on and rapidly turn off, but th green led stays on all the time... What is wrong?? Is the HB damage? (23 years ago, 19-Sep-01, to lugnet.robotics.handyboard)

This will probably bounce to the Handyboard list but here goes ... (...) The way the default LCD program is written is non-optimal.
