I got around to changing to the new driver and hardware configuration last night. Afterwards, I found that the sonar was returning negative distances periodically.   Dual Hall Effect Query
 
Has anybody had any experience with the Micro 8SS27 dual hall effect sensor? I cant seem to get even the slightest response out of it! I don't really see the problem Randy as long as you remember to power cycle the board after every ping (pain in the butt) but until you get the TL851 that will have to do! I picked up a MiniSC servo controller to experiment with. It is driven via serial however. I saw in the FAQ that it is possible to use the Handy Boards serial port, but I don't want to have to download a program to the HB, disconnect the phone jack, (...) well, the dim flashing of either yellow charge LEDs should not worry you. all this means is that the Handy Board is drawing some power. if you have the wall adapter plugged into the Interface/Charger board, simply switch it to "Zap" mode. now, onto (...) EAS is now taking orders for the Finger Board, a very small 68hc11 micro controller board with memory and I/O selects compatible to "Handy Board". Here is the pin outs that you requested Randy. The board that you are talking about has a 17 pin SIP connector. What I did is remove this connector and solder a ribbon wire to the following pins: Signal Pin # (pin 17 and pin 1 should be labeled) GND (...)
