My goal is to read various input devices ie joystick, keyboard, etc. encode the data into some sort of bit or ascii stream and then transmit it to the HB for decoding and if possible transmit from the HB back to the PC for telemetry such as (...) So all of my work is incompatible with version 2.x browswers, which don't colorize text. Are you wanting to transmit an analog signal, e.g. faster/slower, such as most people do with a joystick, or some other purpose? Did you want the PC to generate the signal, or a standard RC transmitter receiver? I've used the HB Input Capture line (...) (27 years ago, 27-Oct-97, to lugnet.robotics.handyboard)

Hi, I recently assembled a Handy Board and some of my motor ports don't work. With the first driver chip, motors #0 & 1, the LEDs turn on but there is no current coming from the headers. I have some students in a project lab who are trying to interface the keyboard of a 100 year old pipe organ keyboard through a handyboard to MIDI equipment. Jonathan: Recently had the same problem myself. One of my colleagues passed on a little utility he wrote ( load68hc11 ) which set my config register just fine. I am in the process of assembling a Handyboard. All had gone well until I got to the stage where you download the code to the HB for the first time. This is before the memory is installed. Whoa, i just realized that the instructions *are* correct. Here's why. For this voltage test, the instructions assume you are powering your board from the DC adapter.
