Are you wanting to transmit an analog signal, e.g. faster/slower, such
as most people do with a joystick, or some other purpose?  Did you want
the PC to generate the signal, or a standard RC transmitter receiver?
I've used the HB Input Capture line hooked to an RC receiver.  It would
capture the pulse-width of the RC comand from my joystick, but no PC was
involved, other than firing up the HB.  Worked well, had to have some
interrupt code in assembler, and the HB only has 2 Input Capture lines
available ( the system uses some for the beeper, et.al.), so you can
only do 2 channels (fore/aft and left/right).

I was wondering if anyone has attempted to transmit data from a pc to
a HB device using a standard RC transmitter and receiver.  My goal is
to be able to control an HB driven robot using a PC's joystick.  Any
help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you

OK Newbie Allert !!! I'm looking at the Handy Board as a major step up from the Basic Stamp 2, but I need to be able to send out serial messages from the digital outputs. On the BS2 it is declared as a ShiftOut instruction. It will be used to (...) (27 years ago, 27-Oct-97, to lugnet.robotics.handyboard)
