Hi all, My name is Marcelo Manjon, and i've just finished my 1st. version of my Micromouse Robot. However, since it had some aligment problems, i've decided to use more 12 IR sensors, in order to help the robot to stay aligned along the maze and, (...)   Extend memory to 64K.

All, Anyone extended the handyboards memory to 64K, and what is the best way to do it? Tim North tim.north@symbios.com (27 years ago, 23-Oct-97, to lugnet.robotics.handyboard)

  MIDI interface

I have some students in a project lab who are trying to interface the keyboard of a 100 year old pipe organ keyboard through a handyboard to MIDI equipment. Does anyone know of a source of information on MIDI packets, c or machine code for creating (...) (27 years ago, 23-Oct-97, to lugnet.robotics.handyboard)

  Re: Handyboard construction problems

Jonathan: Recently had the same problem myself. One of my colleagues passed on a little utility he wrote ( load68hc11 ) which set my config register just fine. I could then use HBDL for uploading programs. I sent the loadhc11 to fredm for him to (...) (27 years ago, 23-Oct-97, to lugnet.robotics.handyboard)

  Handyboard construction problems

I am in the process of assembling a Handyboard. All had gone well until I got to the stage where you download the code to the HB for the first time. This is before the memory is installed. I used HBDL to download with the register set to 0x0c. I got (...) (27 years ago, 23-Oct-97, to lugnet.robotics.handyboard)

  RC motor connection

Hi, Did anyone know how to connect commercial electronic speed controllers to HB for powering high-current RC (20A to 100A) motors? Billy Kwong (27 years ago, 22-Oct-97, to lugnet.robotics.handyboard)

Whoa, i just realized that the instructions *are* correct. Here's why. For this voltage test, the instructions assume you are powering your board from the DC adapter. This should give the 15 volts mentioned, unless: * you hooked up the battery pack (...) (27 years ago, 22-Oct-97, to lugnet.robotics.handyboard)

  Re: Rob Gaunts Last Message

(...) the instructions are wrong -- you should be seeing about 9v, which is the voltage on the nicad pack. i will revise the instructions. thanks for pointing out the problem. fred (27 years ago, 22-Oct-97, to lugnet.robotics.handyboard)

I sent out a message few minutes ago listing all sorts of problems I was having. Don't worry about it. I just figured it all out. I was using lib_r22.lis instead of lib_hb.lis in IC. Now things are working fine except that the voltage at pin 8 of (...) (27 years ago, 22-Oct-97, to lugnet.robotics.handyboard)

  Digital Ins and Motor Outs

I have succesfully loaded pcode_hb.s19 and run IC with my Handyboard (finally). However, I am having a few problems with the digital inputs and the motor outputs.   Re: Board synch problem

  Re: Board synch problem

two things you can try: 1. use DLM to download the CONFIG0C.S19 file. Make sure to use the -eeprom flag. This will cause it to burn the config register to the proper value. 2. Have you tried Randy Sargent's DL.EXE for DOS / Win 3.1 full screen DOS (...) (27 years ago, 20-Oct-97, to lugnet.robotics.handyboard)

I'm not sure if my follow up message made it, appears to have bounced. Just in case, the problem resolved when I took out the modem and network cards.   Re: Board synch problem

I've noticed the only limited success I've had downloading pcode_hb.s19 is - with older slower systems that have _no_ modem cards installed using dlm - with win95 or win311 systems using hbdl with no modem cards as well. The hbdl downloads them (...) (27 years ago, 20-Oct-97, to lugnet.robotics.handyboard)
