Hello, Does IC do type conversions like C? More specifically, if I have a persistent int that needs to become a global float to be used by a function, can this code do the conversion? persistent int ifactor; float factor; void foo(void) { ifactor = (...) Hi all, I'm offering to sell a Handyboard that I built a few months ago. When I was building my board I ordered double of all the components to get over some minimum orders.   Re: your mail

(...) Yep. You used the wrong phone cord between the HB and the serial interface board. Fred recently answered that question on this group, I'd direct you to the archives of this list but I don't know where that is. The phone cord, I *think*, is (...)   Re: charger board

It looks like your resistors are burned due to the short circuit between pin3 and pin4 of J10 on the charger board. I guess what you need is to replace those resistors (R11 and R12) and yellow LED, and the charger board will work again. Those (...) (27 years ago, 12-Aug-97, to lugnet.robotics.handyboard)

Hello all, I was charging my HB the other day, and suddenly, the two resistors right by the yellow "charge" LED on the serial interface ckt. went up in smoke. Has this happened to anyone else? Colby (27 years ago, 12-Aug-97, to lugnet.robotics.handyboard)

What is your application of the robot? My experience has shown that different wheel configurations lend themselves naturally to different applications: In general, think about how you want your robot to move and turn, and what sort of terrain it (...)   Hall Effect Trans.

  Re: Hall Effect Trans.

I'd like to hear what you come up with as well. Presently I just use the magnet/coil sensor pairs that you can buy in any bike store. You just hook the shield to ground, and the other wire to, say, an input-capture pin of a 68HC11, with a 3.3 K pull (...) (27 years ago, 11-Aug-97, to lugnet.robotics.handyboard)
