If you connect two motors to each other (i used 'new' technic motors) and
turn one of them manually, the other one will turn too. You can transfer
rotational motion through an electric wire this way. Actually, the motor
you're turning simply acts as a generator.
It's not very efficient, but a lot less cumbersome than some other methods
of energy transfer.

| I just got the Droid Development kit. Try this: * Connect an axle to the motor of the Micro Scout. Disconnect and/or remove any other things that you have connected to the Micro Scout. * Take out the batteries (if any) * Start turning the motor (...) (25 years ago, 29-Aug-99, to lugnet.robotics)
