  pbForth is fun!

I had approached pbForth two or three times in the past, always failing to manage what I thought was a steep learning curve. The truth is I probably was too lazy to put the necessary attention into it, or I was in a hurry to program my robots to (...) (25 years ago, 22-Jan-01, to lugnet.robotics)

Interfacing Sharp's Distance Sensors to the RCX

Hi, I was searching a web page which gives an overview about all the sharp distance sensors. I 've found it. I 'm sure that some of yours will read it. from my experience it really depends on the application, if you are working on a walker it usually takes a minimum of 1:12 for most of mine, but i don't know waht you are doing. mike "rubbing the weekend out of his eyes" fusion (25 years ago, 22-Jan-01, to lugnet.robotics.rcx, lugnet.robotics)

Re: LEGO Cam vs. X10's Xcam vs. other webcams

That was not a general statement. The X10's quality is poor for indoor lighting. There are several better wireless digital cameras out there that is far better than the X10, but it costs a lot more. Cant beat the $50 I paid for the X10 via ebay (...) (25 years ago, 22-Jan-01, to lugnet.robotics)

  New guy on the blocks

Hi all, I just got a great deal on a RIS 1.5 but it came without the CD. Is there anything on it that I absolutely need to have in order to use the RIS? I can get the firmware from the mindstorm site right? Do I need any extra stuff in order to (...) (25 years ago, 22-Jan-01, to lugnet.robotics)

Re: LEGO Cam vs. X10's Xcam vs. other webcams

The Lego Cam's quality is much better than the X10 as I have both. The X10 was designed for outdoor only and as such needs a lot of light otherwise the image is dark. The Lego Cam is the same as the quickcam. However, the wireless ability of the X10 (...) (25 years ago, 22-Jan-01, to lugnet.robotics)

LEGO Cam vs. X10's Xcam vs. other webcams

Has anyone done (or know where to look for) a review on the image quality of the Lego Cam ? I'm interested to know where the Lego Cam stands when compared with other webcams including analog-video mini-cams like the Xcam ? At least, I would like to (...) (...) The GP2D02 is a very powerful sensor for a robot. Getting it to work will really be great. I think the best bet is to use a 9V battery box for this instead of using a precious output port... Ram (25 years ago, 22-Jan-01, to lugnet.robotics, lugnet.robotics.rcx)
