Probably not a good idea. First, unless you replace the cable on the camera, you'll have to roll it up and carry it on your robot. USB cables have a minimum length, so you need another rolled up USB cable carried on your robot to connect the tower (...) (25 years ago, 17-Jan-01, to lugnet.robotics)

Funny you should mention this because I just finished my "rough draft" syncro-drive bot. I found my turntables at www.brickbay.com for about $10 US each. The Vision Command camera is connected to the PC using USB. In RIS 2.0 the IR tower will use USB too. There must be a way to come up with a transmitter that interprets the signal and creates a discrete signal output that the RDS could use. Then you could program that at "X" rotation or feet do "Y". Has anyone tried this? Rose Dean Husby wrote in (...) (25 years ago, 16-Jan-01, to lugnet.robotics)
