I've been promoting this set as the "perfect" RCX add-on since I got one last Christmas. The main truck model is waaaaaayyyyy cool and quite ingenious, almost worthy of Jennifer Clark (Hi, Jenn!). I haven't built all the alternate models, but the (...) (25 years ago, 11-Dec-00, to lugnet.robotics)

I suspect the crux of your answer lies in the 3-4-5 triangle. [NOT! read on to see why this isn't true!] The complements of 112.5 and 157.5 degrees are 67.5 and 22.5 degrees. take a look at the cyber spider at www.wowwee.com it does a lot of what walker builders want to do and it's really cheap. $20.00 USD i picked up one this week and all i'm looking for right now is the special batteries that are needed for the remote. I've used the same kind of mechanism in many of my own MOCs, as it allows for tighter turns without the friction you would get with a normal setup. While the CodePilot unit itself is fairly (...) I bought a CodePilot last year when S@H had them on sale for $US100. The LEGO outlet store in Cookstown Ontario is rumored to have a few left.
