  Re: MOC: Radio Controlled Tank.

(...) Thx. (...) I use a 1x3 plate when I want more traction. The problem is that the plates often get ripped of when driving... I prefer the low-friction solution.   Re: Motorize Focus on Vision Command Camera

Hi Robert, (...) thanks for the pictures. One may call your design a bit untraditional and questionable, but on the other side it is a pragmatic and fairly compact solution. I tried to construct a drive made of a single tire meshed with the focus (...) (25 years ago, 6-Nov-00, to lugnet.robotics)

  Re: AI in RCX

Hi! Sorry I missed out on the discussion... hope this is not too late to be of some use. I have to agree with Andy here. This type of thing is doable- not easy, but doable. I've implemented some fairly substantial reinforcement learning algorithms (...) (25 years ago, 6-Nov-00, to lugnet.robotics)

  Cheap motors

Toys R Us in the metro NY Area (and elsewhere I suspect from the Ebay listings) is selling Znap sets on clearance. The motorized sets are going for $9.97 - far cheaper than the cost of a motor alone. They also include a short electrical cable, one (...) (25 years ago, 6-Nov-00, to lugnet.robotics)

GFLTC at the Mindstorms Mall Tour last Saturday

Hi all, The Greater Florida LEGO Train Club had a display at the LEGO Mindstorms Mall Tour in St. Petersburg, Florida last Saturday (Nov. 4).   Re:AI in RCX (from proposer)

Ok! I should NOT have said that programming neural-networks on the RCX is impossible, and that the only way is to use the PC. And to Yiu, I would like to say that I had no intention of detering you from this project. I agree completely with Andy (...) (25 years ago, 5-Nov-00, to lugnet.robotics)

  Re: AI in RCX

I think that you should not immediately discount the idea of nueral networks in the RCX. Bert van Dam has done amazing stuff with networks on the RCX, and using no PC code. The point of the RCX is to try, learn, and invernt, not to say that it is (...) (25 years ago, 5-Nov-00, to lugnet.robotics)

  Re: Motorized VC cam focusing
