(...) Rob, I've had the same problem with BrickOS. The installation I used came with BrickOS already built. I reloaded the RCX with LEGO firmware and all three motor ports worked fine. I've developed an LDCC protocol stack for lejOS. Well, 1/4 of it. It's currently receive-only and only on the RCX platform. Well, I don't know much about it being possessed, but you should try to divide the problem probabilities in half. Try loading the original lego firmware. I was writing some simple programs to test out BrickOS last night, and had some really strange behavior. I hooked up a motor to port B and a rotation sensor to port 2. I just tested Amazon.com's new "Search inside this book" feature (which provides a cool new full-text search across the content of its books) by doing a search for "LUGNET". The file name that is executed is LaunchRIS2.exe. By default it is located under "C:\Program Files\LEGO MINDSTORMS\RIS 2.0\". Did anybody try to open any of the *.lif files located in HDDATA directory of RIS 2.0 software? -- I tried to translate RIS 2.0 to czech since there aren't many kids aged 9+ with such a good skills in english to have fun with RIS, but I succeed only (...) (...) we ' ve told about this thing with Philo few days ago cause he had the same problem. So I' ve made several tests with 4 RCX: 2 RCXv1.0 and 2 RCXv2.0 . (...) Yes. Note that you can auto simply disable the auto startup, rather than deleting the file, if you want.
