 | | Some questions that relate to an idea I am thinking about
|

I need some ideas on how to pull this off. I want to make a robot that can go forwards, backwards as well as stear left and right (perferably in as tight a turning circle as lego will let you go, being able to "rotate" on the spot would be perfect) (...) I'm just looking for something a little less vulneralble to failing under accidental stress (i.e. - binding of parts), and at the same time use that same feature to be able to support much more weight as could regular chain links (not conveyor (...) (...) Assuming you actually mean chain and not track links then I have two idea's. You could double up the chain, using two side by side. Or Theoretically if you used larger gears the chain would (apart from being slightly longer) move faster, (...) (23 years ago, 18-Sep-02, to lugnet.technic, lugnet.robotics)

 | | RCX bell like sound

Hello, Is there a way to make the RCX make the sound of ringing bell, such as heard at a level train crossing? If you could point me in the right direction, that would be appreciated. Thanks Michel Magnan (23 years ago, 18-Sep-02, to lugnet.robotics.rcx)

(...) I presume you're using a 12V lead-acid or NiCd battery. As the battery discharges, the output voltage drops, slowly at first but then faster when it gets close to being empty. By the time it reaches, say, 10V, it's time to recharge it. So when (...) (23 years ago, 18-Sep-02, to lugnet.robotics)
