  Pneumatic Control

Hello, As a new member to Lugnet and to the RCX I am looking for some information on how to control pneumatic circuits using the RCX. I do not want to try modifying any brick or buying non-Lego pieces. Are there any good web sites on controlling (...) (23 years ago, 21-May-02, to lugnet.robotics)

  Re: remote control

(...) Wow! So it does! I had no idea. It even sends different directions with the C-up and C-down buttons. You learn something new *every* day! ---...--- Steve Baker ---...--- Mail : <sjbaker1@airmail.net> WorkMail: <sjbaker@link.com> URLs : (8 URLs) (23 years ago, 21-May-02, to lugnet.robotics)

  Re: main() not defined?

Did you capitalise "Main"? It doesnt seem to work if you do. NQC is case sensitive, just like C. Trevyn. (...) (23 years ago, 21-May-02, to lugnet.robotics.rcx.nqc)

  LegOS, lnpd, and networking

It seems to me that a lot of the discussion lately has been on networking multiple IR (infrared) clients using legOS. Is the IR tower using an ID? This would identify messages from the IR vs an RCX. Also could the addressing be extended to allow IP (...) (23 years ago, 21-May-02, to lugnet.robotics.rcx.legos)

(...) It also works with the Scout - except that A & B drive the motors and the C buttons turn on the red LED. I havn't quite figured out what the P1..P5 buttons do - they evidently activate some of the built-in functionality - but I can't be (...) (23 years ago, 20-May-02, to lugnet.robotics)

  Designing a bipedal robot leg

Andy (...) Would (...) Both. Many years ago, in the days before RCXs, I constructed a few walking bipeds with knees. I found the problem with swinging a large weight around to maintain balance was that the momentum of the weight often toppled the (...) (23 years ago, 20-May-02, to lugnet.robotics)

  Setting LNP host address

I've experimented with a couple of choices which were relatively easy to implement. Let me know if we should keep any these: 1. You can choose to set the host address at build time with a command-line option to make. Example: make LNP_HOSTADDR=2 (...) (23 years ago, 20-May-02, to lugnet.robotics.rcx.legos)

  main() not defined?

I get this error - "main() not defined" - when compiling. The code is copied straight from the Ferrari book. While C is the language of my choice, the line of code isn't so obtuse as to hide errors from me. So probably there is some other requisite (...)   Re: remote control

The buttons "1", "2" & "3" send a IR message to the RCX. The RCX must be running a program that will respond to one or more of those messages. The A, B, C buttons will activate the RCX outputs forward or reverse. This requires only the installed (...) (23 years ago, 20-May-02, to lugnet.robotics)

  Re: Powering motors from the mains

(...) One other thought here (and I'm not sure how "good" it is for the motors and I know that efficiency is not the best) is that you will note if you connect two motors together with the typical electrical connection wire (with no RCX in the (...)   Re: NQC "No reply from RCX" Help Please

  remote control

I have a couple of questions about the remote control that comes with the Ultimate Accessory Kit. I am assuming it is the same one that can be purchased on its own (#9738).   lets drop exec

I'd like to make a suggestion and see what everyone thinks. I'd like us to drop our current thread interface (exec/kill) in favor of a pthead interface.
