Re: rcx 2.0 without power plug !?

(...) That was only a rumour, AFAIK there are no RCX 2.0 with a connector for external power supply. (...) Good question, maybe they are playing version number tricks on us? (...) Yes, I think they are all identical from a user point of view. My RCX (...) (24 years ago, 6-Dec-01, to lugnet.robotics)

Re: rcx 2.0 without power plug !?

-----BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE----- Hash: SHA1 Hi, Since RIS 1.5 the RCX no longer has the adapter for an external powers source. Lego obviosuly did not change the design of some of the components of the RCX. So in conclusion RIS 1.5 and 2.0 don't (...) (24 years ago, 6-Dec-01, to lugnet.robotics)

rcx 2.0 without power plug !?

<color><param>0100,0...</param>hi guys! i got a brand new r.i.s 2.0 set (cheap :-), and now i'm a little confused: the rcx brick (it says "2.0" on it) has no connector for an external power source. i thought it should!?? however, if i remove the (...) (24 years ago, 6-Dec-01, to lugnet.robotics)

Re: NQC, Mac OS X, and the USB IR Tower.

Dave, I did have the driver installed in OS 9. I shut down the classic environment, and repeated my test. The program downloaded 100% of the time! I haven't tried deleting the USB IR Tower driver preference file from the OS 9 system yet. I was using (...) (24 years ago, 6-Dec-01, to lugnet.robotics)

  Re: Rotation sensor woes

(...) I have three of these things and they all work flawlessly. You should be able (for example) to thread the rotation sensor onto the output of a standard Lego Mindstorms motor and tie the two together with a single 4x4 plate that would straddle (...)   Re: NQC, Mac OS X, and the USB IR Tower.

(...) I assume MacNQC won't work at all because it doesn't include USB tower support yet. Re 9.2.1 - I found the same problem when I moved from 9.1 to 9.2.1. The Lego driver was happy at 9.1 and hung during boot with 9.2.1. It would boot ok if you (...) (24 years ago, 6-Dec-01, to lugnet.robotics)

  Re: Rotation sensor woes

-----BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE----- Hash: SHA1 Hi, I have one and just recently purchased another one for one of my projects I am busy working on. I have had no issues at all with it especially not the problems you have described. I would reccomend (...) (24 years ago, 6-Dec-01, to lugnet.robotics)

I have four of these sensors and have not had trouble with them. I suspect that you may have a bad one. -- Bob Fay THE SHOP (URL) Auton" <tim.lugnet@uton.org> wrote in message news:GnwoKL.Atw@lugnet.com... (...) beams (...) intended (...) (24 years ago, 6-Dec-01, to lugnet.robotics)

  Rotation sensor woes

I'm having problems fitting my Lego Rotation sensor into my models. It doesn't seem to quite fit properly - even the most basic setup of two beams either side held in place by plates on the top or bottom (with 1 plate on top or two plates below the (...)   Re: wireless X10 cameras - any good?

(...) They suck, don't waste your money. They pretty much require the light of direct sunlight to be able to view anything. Anything dimmer and the picture is so dark you can't see anything. I've been trying to figure out a way to mount a couple of (...) (24 years ago, 6-Dec-01, to lugnet.robotics)
