Tripods are definitely a real help. Another thing which can be useful is
a slave flash which will let you illuminate a subject from the side
(however, you need to be ware of cameras which preflash which makes a
slave useless).
I almost exclusively use a digital camera now. I just wish mine had
better macro capability, sometimes I wish I had bought the Mavica.

Yup, that's mentioned in the first paragraph of Strunk and White. It's
actually pretty easy to remember. Think about how you say Chris's castle
and you'll realize that Chris' castle would be wrong.
