Re: NeutronBot.com ::: Best Site Ever

(...) Lenny, It's a great start! MMN is just one of my biggest peeves. I'd vote for y'all's site for CLSOTW in a heartbeat. James (20 years ago, 5-Feb-05, to lugnet.publish, FTX)

Re: NeutronBot.com ::: Best Site Ever

(...) Seconded. Some folks can't handle a little criticism, even if the "constructiveness" is somewhat tongue-in-cheek. For the record, Kevoh, I think the creations on the site are cool. The overall look and feel of the site is good, too. But the (...) (20 years ago, 5-Feb-05, to lugnet.publish)

Re: NeutronBot.com ::: Best Site Ever

(...) Well the "Best Ever" thing was rather a joke, but I'll let it slide... What I would do is first think hmm this is rather interesting, what are these hexagons for? Then I'd put my mouse over them and note the color change. Each hex has a (...) (20 years ago, 5-Feb-05, to lugnet.publish, FTX)

Re: NeutronBot.com ::: Best Site Ever

(...) Why should I do that? They're just hexagons - they don't say what they're for or where they go. You mean I should just click stuff willy-nilly when it's not clear what it's for? If the point of a web site is to disseminate information, (...) (20 years ago, 5-Feb-05, to lugnet.publish, FTX)

(...) Could stand to be dialed down a bit IMHO. (...) This isn't .space... try less smack, doofus(1). Smack is out of place in .publish... and a lot of other places on LUGNET too, unless you're sure it's friendly banter. See the ToS if you're (...) (20 years ago, 5-Feb-05, to lugnet.publish, FTX)

Re: NeutronBot.com ::: Best Site Ever

Thanks for the nice reply, Kelly. (...) Yep, this is already in the works. We just need to actually build the bots to go in the hex's (Lenny already did his : (URL) ) (...)   Re: NeutronBot.com ::: Best Site Ever

(...) Although I too spent some time at WPtS (I'm a web guy), I really liked the clean design of neutronbot.com. And of course the MOCs are incredibly great. Nice work you guys! I do have some suggestions - feel free to take them as you wish. But I (...) (20 years ago, 5-Feb-05, to lugnet.publish)

Re: NeutronBot.com ::: Best Site Ever

(...) Well that is really a shame. You'll miss out on some really rad MOCs. Oh well, can't have everyone like a site. But I do find it absurd that you couldn't figure out in 30 seconds how to get past the front page. It's not that difficult, dude. (...) (20 years ago, 5-Feb-05, to lugnet.publish)

(...) Me too. ;] James, thanx for the link to "Web Pages that Suck," it's great! I spent about half an hour there reading stuff. By contrast I spent 30 seconds at the subject site of this thread... :( KDJ ___...___ LUGNETer #203 (20 years ago, 5-Feb-05, to lugnet.publish)

Ahh, (URL) Mystery Meat> navigation at its best/worst! I'm sure there are some cool things there, but all I see on the front page (in Firefox 1.0) is 7 hexagons. Nothing tells me what to do. I haven't seen your Viper before and I must say I really admire how compact you made it (looks just like a real set!) while keeping all the destinctive design elements of the ship. Awesome work! The edges look really good, no tell-tale bits of color. Neat Viper, btw! For tools, I'd suggest trying the magic wand.
