Re: [PRESS RELEASE] INTRODUCING BRICKST MAGAZINE - THE LEGO® FAN MAGAZINE.

(...) Hang in there! Since we're footing the bill for these preview editions, it simply wasnt feasable to offer them beyond the US and Canada. We're already working on international distribution, and based upon Tim's trip to LEGO World, the (...) (23 years ago, 4-Jan-03, to lugnet.publish)

Re: [PRESS RELEASE] INTRODUCING BRICKS™ MAGAZINE - THE LEGO® FAN MAGAZINE.

(...) Oh, this is excellent! Finally a fan oriented publication without the profuse advertising of a lego magazine! This is starting to sound great! (...) Ah, reviews! Now, this is interesting!   Re: [PRESS RELEASE] INTRODUCING BRICKST MAGAZINE - THE LEGO® FAN MAGAZINE.

I can understand that perhaps that you don't want to be spending out on shipping the preview copy overseas, but Matthew, will the rest of the world be able to subscribe, albeit at a higher rate to reflect higher postage charges? Huw (23 years ago, 4-Jan-03, to lugnet.publish)

Re: [PRESS RELEASE] INTRODUCING BRICKS? MAGAZINE - THE LEGO® FAN MAGAZINE.

I'll be interested in seeing how this is presented to the non-LUGNET member via retail outlets, since the general LEGO public is going to be the key to it's success. Sounds exciting. jt (...) (23 years ago, 4-Jan-03, to lugnet.publish)

  Re: need camera advice.

(...) Hello Jonathan, I have a Nikon Coolpix 800 (3.3 MP with macro function) and it's outstanding for photographing LEGO® creations. If you return that camera you have, make sure to purchase one with a macro option...and digital zoom isn't even (...) (23 years ago, 4-Jan-03, to lugnet.publish.photography)

Re: [PRESS RELEASE] INTRODUCING BRICKS? MAGAZINE - THE LEGO® FAN MAGAZINE.

Awesome! It's about time we adult fans of The Brick got into printed publication. Now we'll be known to the non-E generation as well. -Harvey (23 years ago, 4-Jan-03, to lugnet.publish)

  Re: Camera ?'s

Thanx for your help and info I'm not buying any thing right now because my dad just got a SC3300 SiPix it has 3.3 Mega pixel and also came with some software. Thanx once more for your help and time. --Kevin W. § (23 years ago, 31-Dec-02, to lugnet.publish)

  Re: need camera advice.

(...) Those features sound similar to what I have (a several year old Olympus) and I'm perfectly happy with it. Even 1.3 megapixels (1280x1024) is more than you need for photographing LEGO models. 640x480 is about the right resolution for publishing (...)   Re: Would like to know

(...) Not if it's a backup copy for your own use. You can tape Friends as long as you don't distribute the tape. You can dub Austin Powers as long as you own the original. (...) It's a slippery slope, dude. Stay away from it and you're nose will be (...) (23 years ago, 27-Dec-02, to lugnet.publish)

  Re: Six Wide Santa

(...) Well, it can introduce problems, but cameras are generally optimized for certain lighting conditions. If your camera has a white balance option, then maybe that would make it work. But I've never been able to get the colors right without (...) (23 years ago, 27-Dec-02, to lugnet.publish)

  Re: Would like to know

(...) Legal? can I get a hell no!! HELL NO!! But then who's gonna know? Guess what, if you taped Friends of tv or dubbed a copy of Austin Powers, that's illegal too. So you pick your morals I guess. Would I steal a car or mug and old lady? Probably (...) (23 years ago, 27-Dec-02, to lugnet.publish)

  Re: need camera advice.

Now, wait a minute. Not everybody can get $400 cameras for Christmas, and not everybody can afford to spend an extra $200 or $300, The camera costs about $100, but the reviews I found are great, they say that it's 'good for it's price.' 1.3 (...)   Re: Would like to know

  Re: Would like to know

(...) I wonder... is that legal? My friend at school tried to exchange a Kazaa CD burned Photoshop for a pencil, and I refused. What are the legal prediciments for Kazaa? I mean, distributing software for free online dosn't seem to be very legal. (...) (23 years ago, 26-Dec-02, to lugnet.castle, lugnet.publish)

  Re: need camera advice.

(...) Jonathan: Honestly dude? Return it... trade up to at least a 3.3, otherwise you probably won't be happy with the quality. 3.3's are going for like $299 now and usually come with 2x optical zzom, and at least 6x digital xoom. I have a Sony, but (...) (23 years ago, 25-Dec-02, to lugnet.publish.photography)

  need camera advice.

I just got a new digital camera for XMAS. Its a Concord EYEQ Duo LCD. It says its 1.3 megapixels, 2x digital zoom, 9.9mm f/3.2 It doesnt have an optical zoom on it at all.   Re: Six Wide Santa

(...) Good advice so far. (...) And here is where we differ. Flash introduces glare. If you can, use good lights, use a tripod and longer exposure times, etc, but avoid flashes.   Re: Photographer etiquette questionnaire/survey

(...) I thought I might expand on this a little. I used to participate in ancient miniatures tournaments at the local gaming convention.
