  Re: Photographer etiquette questionnaire/survey

Todd, As you can see from my Brickshelf directory from last years' Brickfest ( (URL) ) I took alot of pictures at the event. I tried to get every model, but I'm sure that I missed some. I also tried to take pictures of as many of the attendees and (...) (23 years ago, 12-Jul-02, to lugnet.events.brickfest, lugnet.publish.photography)

Give me your link buttons, Hoomans!

Heya all, I thought I'd catch the link button fever that most likely died months ago... :-, But since I'm re-writing my website, I figured what the heck. If you want me to link to your site, just pay my links page a visit and submit a link: (URL) (...) (23 years ago, 12-Jul-02, to lugnet.publish, lugnet.space, lugnet.build.mecha, lugnet.general)

  Re: Photographer etiquette questionnaire/survey

(...) Hmm, this leads to an idea: MOC Studio. Set up a designated area where people with quality photographic equipment like you can take pictures of people's models. The model owner would have to cooperate by moving it to your location. Then you (...) (23 years ago, 11-Jul-02, to lugnet.events.brickfest, lugnet.publish.photography)

  Re: Brickmania withdraws from Brickshelf

(...) I think this is an excellent idea. I think part of the confusion is that in the TOS of Brickshelf it states something to the effect of: "this site is for pictures of Legos and pictures generally of interest to the community" i think everyone (...)   Re: Photographer etiquette questionnaire/survey

(...) Last year, there were plenty of times when the display rooms were quiet, and an involved photo-session would be unlikely to disturb anyone. If you want to get really detailed shots of someone's creation, it might be a good idea to make (...) (23 years ago, 11-Jul-02, to lugnet.events.brickfest, lugnet.publish.photography)

  Re: Photographer etiquette questionnaire/survey

(...) Ya, flashes aren't really needed much anymore with modern digital cameras... but using a flash can still make a difference -- especially with a CCD-based digital camera. CMOS imaging chips don't suffer from the same "snowy pixel" effects that (...) (23 years ago, 11-Jul-02, to lugnet.events.brickfest, lugnet.publish.photography)

Brickmania's Gallery Updated - Brickshelf Pix Posted

I'm just letting everyone know that I have updated my web site's gallery to include all of the pictures recently withdrawn from Brickshelf. Most of them are military MOC's, but there's a lot of other gems and even some new stuff spread throught the (...) (23 years ago, 11-Jul-02, to lugnet.build.military, lugnet.publish)

  Re: Photographer etiquette questionnaire/survey

(...) Yes. Yes. If I were going to Brickfest (and I'm not, sniff), I would be bringing things for public display. (...) Yes. No. No. On this last, I have no idea why someone is taking pictures--maybe they're just into trains and so they don't care (...)   Re: deep linking on brickshelf (It's Illegal!)

Deep Linking is Illegal! According to recent press releases and court rulings, deep linking to a web site is illegal. (URL) have indicated that this is a major legal issue. (URL) course, all of this comes after a court ruling that said 2 years ago (...) (23 years ago, 10-Jul-02, to lugnet.publish)

  Re: Photographer etiquette questionnaire/survey

(...) Ideally I'd like to take 2-5 minutes. 10-20 minutes would be toward the extreme. The last thing I want to do is get in the way, so you shoo me away at any time if that happens -- my stuff is pretty portable. My lighting is just a pair of (...)   Re: deep linking on brickshelf

(...) Yep! That's the way I do it and it works just fine. For folders/pictures that haven't been made available yet you just have to be signed in as the folder owner to do this. (23 years ago, 10-Jul-02, to lugnet.publish)

  Re: deep linking on brickshelf

(...) After uploading, you as the author can view each pic, then click on the pic itself. The URL in your address box in your browser is the deep link to paste in, I believe. Hope that helps. (23 years ago, 10-Jul-02, to lugnet.publish)

  deep linking on brickshelf

I'm not sure how hard this would be to implement, but is it possible to provide a "deep link" link in each folder (or better yet, on each picture) that you could snag with a right click of the mouse and paste into your lugnet post boasting of your (...)   Re: Photographer etiquette questionnaire/survey

(...) Yes and totally. I think it's very much par for the course for displayed pieces to be photographed. Anyone who wishes to be an exception to this might consider a little card or note by their display to reflect that. (...) Mildly flattering, (...)
