(...) Hi, my name is Kevin and I am a Legoholic... Crowd: Hi Kevin! I recently placed an order from Lego S@H for over 350$ and followed that, the next day with a 200$ shopping spree at TRU. Darn those soccer sets, why oh why do they have to be so (...) (24 years ago, 27-Jun-00, to lugnet.people)

(...) Paul? PAUL? I gotta ask.... your consumption - does it lead to building your own creations or just collecting and building sets? Well I would probably spend more but I do have to feed the wife and scrub. - Marc (24 years ago, 29-Jun-00, to lugnet.people)

Bargain buying (was: New support group: Lego Anonymous)

(...) When we who are considered grown-ups (by others at least), find the greatest buys in some store, and then buy the rest of the sets who are the best bargains - should we feel guilty since the kids do not get the sets? My husband and I found (...) (24 years ago, 29-Jun-00, to lugnet.people)

Anne, I can sympathize with your dilemma. This past weekend I went to a Zany Brainy to pick up 2 7171s that had been transferred to the store for me. The clerk said that a lady had been in and was distrought that both were on reserve, as she wanted (...) (24 years ago, 29-Jun-00, to lugnet.people)

I'm here Marc.... Actually, it is a bit of both. Some sets I build for themselves (and then put away), while the rest of my acquisitions (some sets, and all mixed lots) will help build my Lego Amusement Park. Paul Sinasohn LUGNET #115 (...) (24 years ago, 29-Jun-00, to lugnet.people)

ok, I have to confess my two greatest finds. It was when we were first starting collecting lego sets. The first find was *three* unitron monorails for $100 each at a TRU in kentucky. I thought we would never eclipse that one, but we did. On a (...) (24 years ago, 29-Jun-00, to lugnet.people)

(...) So, I'm not the only one that has received that call. Dya has set them off twice for me. The funny part is that my first really big order from DYA (~$900.00 US) did not trigger anything, but later purchases did... Will (24 years ago, 29-Jun-00, to lugnet.people)

That's strange. For us, I think it was multiple purchases in multiple states in less than 24 hours. I'm really not bothered by it, it makes me think they're on the ball. brian (...) (24 years ago, 7-Jul-00, to lugnet.people)

I filled a shopping cart at TRU in a bad chicago neighborhood once also. They had space police, a shuttle launch pad, and lots of other goodies. The interesting thing is that we had to squeeze between these poles to get in the store. I thought that (...) (24 years ago, 7-Jul-00, to lugnet.people)
