I too am young (16 - started LUGNET at 15 ) but I feel that this great place
treats all us youngin's just great.  This begs the question, when do you
become an AFOL?

I consider myself an AFOL because I have passed my dark ages, I am
supporting my hobby with my own money and I don't consider Legos as a toy, I
consider it as a hobby. Even though our new friend William here is only 11,
if he has the maturity to interact here, then I would also consider him an
AFOL.  Is this consideration a right way to think?

I consider a KFOL (kid...) an enthusiast that really only plays with the
stuff once, chews the pieces to heck, looses the pieces then gathers what is
left, places it in a box and gets it out only once a month, when the
computer is broken. Thier Mommies and Daddies are the supporting factors in
the collection, because they have the money.

BTW: I am not dissing the KFOLs, because all of us once were one of them.

Finally, since I am a teen, does that make me a TFOL or is there no such
thing as an in-the-middle type label?

I open this topic for discussion, so please discuss.

Jeremy "Copyright" Scott

P.S. Welcome William and don't ever enter "The Dark Ages", they suck and you
loose many good years...

(...) This is a remarkable definition of what is an AFOL! Thank you. You can always read the A as "adolescent". That works too. -Erik (22 years ago, 21-Mar-02, to lugnet.people)

(...) Do yourself a favor and don't worry about becoming an AFOL. I'm 33 and I hope never to be one. :) (...) In all seriousness, I think there is far too much emphasis placed on labelling folks around here. Be yourself, that's the best thing I can (...) (22 years ago, 21-Mar-02, to lugnet.people)
