  Re: its over!!!

I'll tack this on to an existing thread: A great time had by all, and a weekend of great fun for me. Though others have said it, I'll say it again: Thanks and kudos to Denise Jadud and Stephen Roberts for their great organizational efforts and (...)   Re: its over!!!

(...) I agree. Like Chris mentioned, a 24-7 place would be great too-- who needs sleep anyway?! That would also save on hotel prices, so I'd gladly pay admission. <grin> As mentioned, having the meals a bit more organized would be nice. My (...) (24 years ago, 13-Jun-00, to lugnet.org.us.wamalug)

I think I would vote for a week earlier or later in June also, as June 15 is my NLS's birthday. Birthdays are rather big events in her family, and I doubt that I'd be able to go to Brickfest without dire 'reaper'-cussions. :-) -Andy Lynch ----- (...)   Re: its over!!!

(...) Actually it was a 24 hour place for the stuff, just not the people. That was a huge advantage. There are very few places that will give you a space to occupy 24hrs without spending huge $$$. Most (all) hotel conference rooms are scheduled by (...) (24 years ago, 13-Jun-00, to lugnet.org.us.wamalug)

  Re: its over!!!

(...) SF conventions regularly have most of the conference rooms at a hotel for the whole weekend. I don't think they spend 10s of 1000s of dollars (but perhaps close). A hotel probably isn't the right place to use however as they do expect to rent (...) (24 years ago, 13-Jun-00, to lugnet.org.us.wamalug)

(...) Perhaps at another building but not at that one. It's open from 9-11 every day wether the fest is there or not. They simply don't have the security staff to do it 24hrs.
