  Re: Cost of Brickfest

Very cool, I didn't know they had particular box for stocking the play tables. That would be a cool thing for LEGO Direct to sell, you'd never really know what you're going to get. That would kind of add to the excitement, then you could trade off (...) (26 years ago, 12-Jun-00, to lugnet.org.us.wamalug)

  Re: Cost of Brickfest

(...) A K-8 is the box TLC uses to supply LEGO parts to the play tables and for events. It's about 18" x 30" x 15" or something like that, filled with bricks. Apparently they stock them by dumping parts from returned sets, manufacturing left overs, (...) (26 years ago, 12-Jun-00, to lugnet.org.us.wamalug)

(...) My expenses were: $140 or so, rental of an Isuzu Trooper for 3 days (it's amazing how much you can pack into a trooper, only a few of the locals brought the same order of magnitude of volume of stuff as I brought) $75 or so for gas (travelling (...)   Re: its over!!!

Well, My NLS (Jackie) and I had a great time at BrickFest... :-) We met lots of great, friendly people, and saw some really incredible constructions in person. (...) Well, someone made a random estimate based on how popular they thought the figs would be. That was done for 1 IIRC, and I believe that it could go that high.   Cost of Brickfest

To everyone who came in from out of town and stayed at a hotel, Can you please list your expences for the weekend (in US dollars) so I can get an idea of the expences I would incur for attending next year? Thanks Jude I like stories. (26 years ago, 12-Jun-00, to lugnet.org.us.wamalug)

  Soccer at the bar

After Brickfest on Saturday, several of the over 21 folks went to a local bar. For kicks, we brought a soccer set. It was a huge hit! Not only did the bartender like it, but several random people asked to play with us! We had a blast! (URL) (26 years ago, 11-Jun-00, to lugnet.org.us.wamalug)
