  Re: Meeting in March?

Once I found out the Virginia Museum of Transportation was in Roanoke I emailed Beckie about being unable to participate. I do think a display is possible for the VMoT. One day maybe...I believe I read an email from Rich about reserving space at the (...) (24 years ago, 26-Mar-01, to lugnet.org.us.richlug)

  Re: Meeting in March?

(...) I had previously said that I might be out of town that weekend and even if I'm not I really don't have any interest either in driving all the way out to Roanoke. I'm eager for us to put together an event but not THAT eager. Does anyone know if (...) (24 years ago, 26-Mar-01, to lugnet.org.us.richlug)

  Re: Meeting in March?

Sorry to reply to my own message but Bert and I just looked at the Virginia Transportation Museum website and noticed that they are located in Roanoke! On such short notice, this is not doable for me. Anyways, I'll see everyone on Saturday for the (...) (24 years ago, 26-Mar-01, to lugnet.org.us.richlug)

  Re: Meeting in March?

This is my first posting on Lugnet! I will try to attend the March 31st meeting. I didn't realize Richlug had a newsgroup on Lugnet and was waiting for information about the March meeting on our web site. I did email Beckie and Tim about the (...) Greg and All I received this message from Bert earlier in the week. He is another that will be at the meeting and seemed to have some valued info for us.   Re: Library Display (vs. BrickFest)

This sounds good to me. I think that way everyone will have something that fits. I don't have a number for that particular dept, but I do have a customer relations number.   Re: Library Display (vs. BrickFest)

I'm glad that they do not just want a "space" theme display. I was thinking that a multi-theme display that crossed several "timelines" could be really neat. The "edges" of each theme display could blend together (kind of like the Bill and Mary Idea (...) (24 years ago, 13-Mar-01, to lugnet.org.us.richlug)

  Re: Meeting in March?

I think a meeting on the 31st is our best bet. I think we will have a better turn out and will give us a little more time. I don't know how quickly the library needs a answer about this display, but I will find out. I think one way or another we (...) (24 years ago, 13-Mar-01, to lugnet.org.us.richlug)

  Re: Library Display (vs. BrickFest)

(...) I'm still open to either date (17th or 31st) - I agree with Tim about the idea of a shorter meeting with maybe a focus more on organizing than building, etc. - especially if we do go ahead and get something together for the 17th.
