  Re: Upcoming possible events?

(...) Hey Joe- At the last NELUG BrikWars event, we discussed the possibility of a 3rd gathering. I think at the time we decided that we would all like to try to have a Medieval BrikWar, using things below a certain TekLevel (which we never put our (...)   Re: Upcoming possible events?

(...) Well that would suit me just fine!! I major in mostly Castle and Western anyway, so I'm sure I could work something in. You think they would allow rifles or muskets though? I have about 300 Bluecoat soldiers that need proving. -Joe US Marines- (...) (24 years ago, 10-Jul-00, to lugnet.org.us.nelug)

  NELUG BrikWars questions...

I'm packing my things in preparation for the move, and as I can't bring all the legos that I have, I have a few questions to help me determine what and how much I bring. Right now I am primarily interested in preparing for a possible upcoming (...) (24 years ago, 11-Jul-00, to lugnet.org.us.nelug)

  Re: NELUG BrikWars questions...

(...) Hmmm. Well, we've played smallish games so far. My main forces have included two squads of five men, and a couple of vehicles (with pilots, etc). We tend to each make smaller detachments and team up once we're all there (by consensus of what (...) (24 years ago, 12-Jul-00, to lugnet.org.us.nelug)

(...) consensus (...) Yikes, and I was thinking a Hundered or Two! I'm thinking a game with 50 people total would end really quick. Maybe that's just my inexperience talking. Here's what I'm bringing: 300+ Western Blue coat soldiers 100+ Indians ( (...) (24 years ago, 12-Jul-00, to lugnet.org.us.nelug)

  Re: NELUG BrikWars questions...

(...) Well, it ends quickly in terms of rounds, but even three rounds (for each player, I mean) can take up to 8 or 9 hours. (...) Wow! One thing I would definitely suggest is bringing some material for vehicles and scenery. The higher tech-level (...) (24 years ago, 13-Jul-00, to lugnet.org.us.nelug)

  Re: NELUG BrikWars questions...

(...) Double Yikes! We've typically set up our games so that each player fields abut 300-400 or so *points* worth of troops, equipment, etc. - which means one of us could use 60 or 80 troops, if we were willing to forego weapons, vehicles, and the (...) (...) That should be fine. I mean, it's not like those of us up here already don't own Lego. :D (...) That sounds great for a napoleanic-American Revolution game, if for no other reason than it's historically accurate. For higher Tech Level games, (...)   Re: NELUG BrikWars questions...

(...) Aye, I would have to agree. Musket and Rifle fighting is my hangup perhaps. I don't even build a lot of futuristic models ( read mechs, fighter craft, tanks etc. ). But, there's a first time for anything I suppose. I just want to get down and (...) (24 years ago, 13-Jul-00, to lugnet.org.us.nelug)

  Re: NELUG BrikWars questions...

(...) You know, a funny thing I've noticed, is that once all the players are pretty comfortable with the game, they take about the same amount of time to finish a turn whether they have 10 or 100 troops. Each person has a certain amount of tolerance (...) (24 years ago, 16-Jul-00, to lugnet.org.us.nelug)
