Re: NELUG Layout at the Greenberg Train Show

(...) Thanks! Good suggestion. I usually do have the sensors further upstream than I did for this show. As I mentioned earlier, I had started out with a new gate design on the layout that operates more quickly, therefore more lead time was not (...) Not only do I not mind, but I made the plans available on BrickShelf: (URL) gate works better with only six Technic Pin Connector cylinders on the gate instead of the eight that are shown on the plans.   NELUG Layout at the Greenberg Train Show

NELUG participated in the Greenberg Toy and Train Show this past weekend with a 10'x20' layout. As usual, a great time was had by all. I am still sorting through the hundreds of pictures that I took of the display, so many of these should appear on (...) (21 years ago, 17-Nov-03, to lugnet.trains, lugnet.org.us.nelug)

Lots of snippage, some commentary interspersed but first... this post got my spotlight, it's an awesome post taken in total. But my comments might read like criticism, sorry about that! (...) I may not have been vocal enough about it in the past, but let me say it again... I'm dying to get some friendly competition going. I'm glad to hear that you're up to it... (...) That's a very nice render Travis. Could you post the light and camera settings, or even the pov file? They'd be perfect for instruction images. Cheers, Allister (21 years ago, 28-Oct-03, to lugnet.town, lugnet.cad, lugnet.org.us.nelug)

  QuickTime movie of some Trains

At a recent train show in Western Mass, I made a small video (7.5 MB) of some trains running by. Next time I'll remember to bring a tripod. We had a lot of fun.
