I hadn't heard that you were looking for some robotic competition, but we've
talked in the past about getting a robotics special-interest group going in
NELUG.  Joe Comeau and I are pretty heavily into MindStorms, even though the
bulk of our recent work has revolved around writing 10-line NQC programs to
automate various aspects of our train layout.  I know there are several other
club members who might be interested as well.

Did you have any thoughts for a competition?  Pose one to the group and start
talking trash, man!  I'd certainly be up for this.

"Two RCXes enter, one RCX leaves!!!"

I cross-posted and set followups to lugnet.org.us.nelug to see if we can wake up
any local sleeper cells.

I may not have been vocal enough about it in the past, but let me say it
again... I'm dying to get some friendly competition going.  I'm glad to hear
that you're up to it...  Including Jorge, that makes 3 of us.

If you'd like, I have a very simple sumo ring that i use for testing, and I
would love to host a couple of people at my apartment any time in the coming
weeks.

Let me know when you can handle getting crushed...  I'll gladly set a date and
time and will even draw up some quick rules for NELUG Street Sumo #1

In addition to coming up with rules for the specific challenge, you might also want to (...) (21 years ago, 30-Oct-03, to lugnet.org.us.nelug)
