Due to a family death, I will be unable to attend this Sunday's build session. I want to let everyone know the project is completed, so I will present it on the 5th of October. I know it's cutting it close, but if need be, I can arrange a meeting (...) (21 years ago, 27-Sep-03, to lugnet.org.us.indylug)

  Sunday + Walmart Clearance

Hi Dave, I'll be there Sunday. My wife went shopping today and found some clearence LEGO at the Lebanon and Frankfort Wal-Marts. If any of these interest anyone in the club let me know and I'll see about making another run to the store :-) 4706 (...) (21 years ago, 27-Sep-03, to lugnet.org.us.indylug)

Re: I'll be there Sep. 28

  I'll be there Sep. 28

As it turns out I DO have this coming Sunday off and will be at the build session. I'm sure Mark will be there along with anyone who added bulk packs to his LSAH order. I think I remember Steve saying that he won't be there until probably after (...) (21 years ago, 27-Sep-03, to lugnet.org.us.indylug)

  Sky Dragon

The sky wheel (Ferris wheel-type thing) is finished. Since I won't be at any build sessions, I want to give you dimensions so you can allocate room. The front and back are 52 studs wide and the sides are 36 studs long. It's not mounted on base (...) (21 years ago, 26-Sep-03, to lugnet.org.us.indylug)

  Re: IndyLUG PC

Thanks, Mark! I've found/acquired a few parts recently, too. Let's see what we have now: a fuzzy 14" monitor a CD-ROM drive a floppy drive a keyboard a cheap mouse a socket 7 AMD Athlon CPU and motherboard RAM a computer desk (do we need one, or (...)   Re: IndyLUG PC

(...) Does it smell like diapers, have mice living in it, or anything like that? Maybe your neighbors went Amish, so they had to get rid of it, even though there's nothing wrong with it. (21 years ago, 24-Sep-03, to lugnet.org.us.indylug)

  Re: IndyLUG PC

(...) I just happened to come across a HP Pavilion 8240 today in the neighbors trash. I remember brian mentioning he needed the case so I grabbed it. The computer is a 233Mhz intel Pentium Processor, 32mb sdram memory (might be missing), 4gb hard (...) (21 years ago, 24-Sep-03, to lugnet.org.us.indylug)

  Re: Two things

(...) It is in my barn. You can come get it anytime, or I can take it to work and you can get it there. (...) Excellent. Thanks, Eric. BTW, our best calculations indicate that we will need 40 person hours of setup time. In other words, we'll really (...) (21 years ago, 23-Sep-03, to lugnet.org.us.indylug)

  Two things

Two things: 1) Who has my Digitrax DCC system? I need to get it back so I can get it up to Purdue's railroad club. 2) I got GATS information today. Here's the deal: Friday 10/17 - setup 3pm - 9pm Saturday 10/18 - setup 7-9:30 am, show opens at 11am, (...) (21 years ago, 23-Sep-03, to lugnet.org.us.indylug)

I'll be there on Sep. 21

I just wanted to let everyone know that I'll be there tomorrow for the build session. Yeah, it's really late notice, but I know that there are people who like to know if anyone else is going to show up. I'll probably get there between 2:00 and 2:30. (...)   Re: Update

Robert, Good to hear from you. Sorry to hear about the illness and I pray they have recovered. I'll post your message on Lugnet. Jeramy is in charge of the web site. It's possible to create a new forum, but I'd rather see you back on Lugnet. Plus (...) (21 years ago, 19-Sep-03, to lugnet.org.us.indylug)

Re: is it a relay or is it yet another motorized switch?

That's cool. I'll make them and and have them for you at the Oct meeting. Keep those cool designs coming..... you're getting a reputation as the "motor man" , "gadget guy" and "DCC expertee".   Re: is it a relay or is it yet another motorized switch?

(...) No, can't make it more than once a month as a rule. Do you need anything from me? I'll be by Steve's house tomorrow to drop off the his knife that I accidently took home with me :) . I'll leave my MOC switch for you. I built a removeable (...) (21 years ago, 19-Sep-03, to lugnet.org.us.indylug)

Re: is it a relay or is it yet another motorized switch?

Hi Brian, The plans are perfect. I'm going to make 5 for you to motorize some of the switches on your DCC loop. I know I have a few more motors but I just can't seem to get my hands on them with a more extensive search. Are you going to be at any of (...) (21 years ago, 19-Sep-03, to lugnet.org.us.indylug)

Re: is it a relay or is it yet another motorized switch?

A couple corrections. 1. Just noticed I have a 2 x 4 plate on top of a 1 x 4 brick. You should probably replace these two pieces with a 2 x 4 brick or similar. The extra plate of height is unnecessary (though it doesn't hurt anything). 2. In a 5 x 7 (...) (21 years ago, 19-Sep-03, to lugnet.org.us.indylug, lugnet.trains)

is it a relay or is it yet another motorized switch?

Seeing the pitiful designs I've made for motorized 9v train points, my brother Chris came up with one. Put a housing over it, and people will swear it's a relay. Not too many down sides with this one. There's no getting around the 6 brick height (...) (21 years ago, 19-Sep-03, to lugnet.org.us.indylug, lugnet.trains)

  Re: September 2003 Meeting Minutes

I forget to mention there are build dates at the barn every Sunday from now 'til GATS. Please post here or contact Steve M. to make sure the barn will be accessible when you arrive. (21 years ago, 15-Sep-03, to lugnet.org.us.indylug)

  Re: September 2003 Meeting Minutes

(...) TLC's Event Kit includes pieces that can be used for this. The kit I received had a box with 19 lbs of blocks. That's plenty of pieces, and there is a much reduced fear of them walking away. THAT'S WHAT THE KIT IS FOR! (21 years ago, 15-Sep-03, to lugnet.org.us.indylug)
