Thanks, Mark! I've found/acquired a few parts recently, too. Let's see what we
have now:
a fuzzy 14" monitor
a CD-ROM drive
a floppy drive
a keyboard
a cheap mouse
a socket 7 AMD Athlon CPU and motherboard
RAM
a computer desk (do we need one, or would Steve prefer to use something he
already has out there?)
Windows
a video card
a sound card
a case and power supply
So we are still lacking:

> > a printer?
a network card (ISA or PCI)
I might have a network card. I'll have to look. I salvaged a couple hard drives,
but they probably don't have more than 300MB between them.
Mark, why don't you leave the HP at the barn for me, I'll pick it up and start
putting the pieces together.

| Thanks to Mark's excellent dumpster dumping, we've nearly got a complete PC. 500MHz Athlon with 488MB RAM, 32MB AGP Video, and SoundBlaster Live! sound. I put everything I had together tonight. Even added the modem that came with the Pavilion. (...) (21 years ago, 13-Oct-03, to lugnet.org.us.indylug)

| (...) I just happened to come across a HP Pavilion 8240 today in the neighbors trash. I remember brian mentioning he needed the case so I grabbed it. The computer is a 233Mhz intel Pentium Processor, 32mb sdram memory (might be missing), 4gb hard (...) (21 years ago, 24-Sep-03, to lugnet.org.us.indylug)
