  Building plans

Robin posted a great list so I'm going to shove it in here, with comments: SW west corner - airport w/ monorail and train station, airplanes, helicopter, limos, taxis, luggage, tarmac vehicles (fuel truck, luggage cart, firetruck, plane "mover"), (...)   Re: Rolling stock plans

(...) I already do this. heh (...) Yes, I was taking those into account. My 4565's in blue and yellow etc. take up some of my plates. (...) You don't have to use thin walls, 1byX work just fine if you are not going to open them... And if you are (...) (24 years ago, 24-Oct-00, to lugnet.org.ca.vlc)

Re: Track Plan - final version?

(...) In layout 13 I put 4.5 volt blue cross tracks to signify where buildings were. This is so we can fill up the areas and know what's still free... Dean -- Coin-Op's For Sale!: (URL) Lego Workshop: (URL) Lego Club: (URL) (24 years ago, 24-Oct-00, to lugnet.org.ca.vlc)

Re: Track Plan - final version?

(...) Robin, one question that was in my post that got lost was: do we have enough short monorail track pieces? I don't have any at all and the layout uses quite a lot (14 with this layout, changes could use more). Do you have lots? Kevin ---...--- (...) (24 years ago, 24-Oct-00, to lugnet.org.ca.vlc)

  Re: Rolling stock plans

(...) Some advice: You can make 2x the containers, if you use the doors from one end of each that you have. The 4x8 plates with the 2x6 studs on top only are the rare part. You get 4 in each 4565 though (so I now have 8 more containers that are (...) (24 years ago, 24-Oct-00, to lugnet.org.ca.vlc)

  Re: Rolling stock plans

Wow! Bryan, between you, Kevin and Dean, you obviously have most of the rolling stock covered. I'm just not a major train dude. It looks like you have enough cranes, container cars, forklifts, etc. to just pool your stuff and be done with it, no? As (...) (24 years ago, 24-Oct-00, to lugnet.org.ca.vlc)

  Re: Rolling stock plans

(...) I've got 4565 engines in Blue and gray and if your really nice and need them I can make one in yellow. I've also got the 4565 steam alternate. (...) I have two 4561 sets. No engines. But I have 1 auto transport, 2 standard cars and one sleeper (...) (24 years ago, 24-Oct-00, to lugnet.org.ca.vlc)

  Re: Questions re: Train Show

(...) If we assume that 13 is the final layout design, we next need to finalize what goes where in that layout, and delegate the building. As far as I can tell, here's what we know so far. I've liberally sprinkled it with other ideas. Let's build on (...) (24 years ago, 24-Oct-00, to lugnet.org.ca.vlc)

Re: Track Plan - final version?

(...) Except for the colour of the road plates 13 gets my vote. But I think someone should put the blue x's in the exact spooken for places so we know what's left. Dean -- Coin-Op's For Sale!: (URL) Lego Workshop: (URL) Lego Club: (URL) (24 years ago, 24-Oct-00, to lugnet.org.ca.vlc)

  Re: Rolling stock plans

(...) I also have: 1 x 2126 1 x 4558 1 x 4565 1 x 4563 1 x 4564 2 x 4559 Maybe I should concentrate on making containers. There is a "standard" size for these containers, is there? Is it 4x8x3 studs (w,l,h)? Bryan (24 years ago, 24-Oct-00, to lugnet.org.ca.vlc)

Re: Track Plan - final version?

(...) In general, I like this layout. I know that there will be some changes, but probably relatively minor ones. We're not even sure that we have enough baseplates (decorated) to actually recreate this pattern, although I can see that it uses lots (...) (24 years ago, 24-Oct-00, to lugnet.org.ca.vlc)

  Rolling stock plans

OK, what do we need ad what do we have in the way of stock? Here's a starting point: NEED ---- 4 locomotives minimum (would be nice to have at least 1 realistic USA diesel model) 2 sets passenger cars 2 sets freight cars work cars (crane etc) Thomas (...)   Track Plan - final version?

The most recent version of teh track plan on our X drive is V-R0013d.tdl: we need to decide whether this is final enough so we can start planning buildings. Any more changes? Speak now...   Re: Questions re: Train Show

(...) The answers to question 1 depend on the finalised baseplate and track layout. The most recent layout on our X-drive is V-R0013d.tdl: I uess we should call for a vote to accept this as our working plan (doesn't mean we can't fine-tune it or (...)   Questions re: Train Show

Two questions regarding the train show: 1) What buildings/structures need to be built? How big should they be? I'm assuming that we're gonna tend to stay away from the original LEGO set models, (except maybe the GOOD ones). 2) What vehicles/trains (...) (24 years ago, 24-Oct-00, to lugnet.org.ca.vlc)

  Black twin lighting brick needed

Does anyone have a black twin lighting brick? The ones that flash? I need one for a project for the Show. Dean -- Coin-Op's For Sale!: (URL) Lego Workshop: (URL) Lego Club: (URL) (24 years ago, 24-Oct-00, to lugnet.org.ca.vlc)
