  Re: Plexi ... again

(...) It's actually plexi sandwiched between lengths of 1x2(approx). The base and plexi are permanently attached, as per Larry's explanation. (...) Yep. This (and the display tables) are what connect the different sections of guard. (...) I think (...) (23 years ago, 24-Jul-01, to lugnet.org.ca.vlc)

  Re: Weeping Willow

(...) If you want the train to stop at the station you must isolate the track and run it by the MS. (...) There is one magnet sensor before the switch track. And there is a light sensor just after the switch track. (...) Yes. I have 7 more sensors (...) (23 years ago, 24-Jul-01, to lugnet.org.ca.vlc)

  Re: Weeping Willow

(...) Ok I think I've left enough room for all of the above. But why do we need a (motor?) wire running to the track? Also, I'm not quite clear as to the sensor you're talking about... Do we have to place it inside the mountain? Perhaps the dry-run (...) (23 years ago, 24-Jul-01, to lugnet.org.ca.vlc)

  Help -- wardrobe truck

This is Alex using Dean's account (don't ask). Okay, folks, it's time for me to publicly admit that I just can't do the truck. I have tried several times and nothing comes together. I only wanted a wardrobe/make up truck (just the trailer part, not (...) (23 years ago, 24-Jul-01, to lugnet.org.ca.vlc)

  LEGO comes though again!

Well, some of you know I broke my little top of the micro motor broke so it wouldn't stay on... And my Train crossing NEEDS it to stay on by itself. So I called up LEGO and they said they'd send me out one. At no charge. (How nice)... Well it (...) (23 years ago, 23-Jul-01, to lugnet.org.ca.vlc)

  Re: Weeping Willow

(...) Great. Here's what will need to get to and from the RCX. The power cord (Same as a train Power plug) one wire going out to the Sensor east. Another sensor inside the mountain (so we know when the train has cleared the switch) A motor wire (...) (23 years ago, 23-Jul-01, to lugnet.org.ca.vlc)

  Re: Weeping Willow

(...) Ok, now that we've got all our directions sorted out, I've found a new location for the RCX. :) It's inside the northern-most piece of mountain. The hole for IR commands faces east, towards the rest of the layout. You can also run wire out (...) (23 years ago, 23-Jul-01, to lugnet.org.ca.vlc)

Re: Kevin, Link to Brickfest, Westfest etc...

(...) Hi all, I was fairly involved with the whole ordeal, obviously. SEALUG is still planning to organize some kind of fest for Northwest people so we can all get together and have a good time. Hopefully we will be able to organize something at (...) (23 years ago, 23-Jul-01, to lugnet.org.ca.vlc)

  Re: Weeping Willow

  Re: Weeping Willow

(...) The RCX must be on the south west corner of the mountain near the switch track and sensors since it must control 4 devices down there. Yours can be anywhere since it's just a motor and you can put more then one connector together to make (...) (23 years ago, 23-Jul-01, to lugnet.org.ca.vlc)

Some more pictures. (URL) definitely stapled to the 2 x 2. Interesting that there is no top edge on the this segment, and that they've overlapped the two pieces.   Plexi ... again

I really like the setup that MichLUG used in their layout at GATS this past weekend. Here's a good picture: (URL) used what looks like probably 1/8" plexi in a 2 x 2 grooved base. They've got different lengths of both base and plexi. If you look (...) (23 years ago, 23-Jul-01, to lugnet.org.ca.vlc)
