Great! Where is the hole or is it completely hidden? Can you leave a little
hole facing the middle of the layout so that I can IR it commands without
having to remove it each time? If the hole was 6x3 that should be fine. (6
long, 3 high) the IR cover is black.

Ok, now that we've got all our directions sorted out, I've found a new
location for the RCX.  :)

It's inside the northern-most piece of mountain.  The hole for IR commands
faces east, towards the rest of the layout.  You can also run wire out from
that hole.  I'm about to make a smaller gap, just enough to run wire, on the
western face of the mountain, so we can reach the Whooping Willow.  :P

Great. Here's what will need to get to and from the RCX.
The power cord (Same as a train Power plug)
one wire going out to the Sensor east.
Another sensor  inside the mountain (so we know when the train has cleared the
switch)
A motor wire going east to the switch track
Another one going to the track it's self. (Requires isolation on both ends of
the hogwarts area)
and one more for the 'tree'.

Not a bad little deal. Now i just have to build it... heh heh.

Do we have to place it inside the mountain? Perhaps the dry-run (...) (23 years ago, 24-Jul-01, to lugnet.org.ca.vlc)
