Battlebots also has the benefit of Mark Beiro, though Bill Nye has to go.
He honestly never has anything interesting or useful to say.

!!

I grew up watching Bill Nye the Science Guy. I loved that show! I remember
the things he told me so clearly. It's the repeat effect; he nails it into
your head. And he's so cool!

"Binary BITS of Information! Binary BITS! BITS! BIN--BITS!!!!!
Bi-BINARY-nary-BINARY BITS!!!!! BINARY BITS OF IN--BINARY!!!!!!!!!!!!!
BINARY bits of INFORMATION!"

There seems to be two camps about these shows, one that is pro-Bill Nye and
the other, pro-Beakman's World:

Unfortunately I'm of the faction that supports Beakman, Lester and Liza.
I suspect the reason why I dislike Bill Nye the show is because he's far too
Disney-esque.  In fact, I think his show IS produced by Disney.   Though
Bill Nye has much wider distribution, Beakman was always better produced,
written and edited.  And the guy in the rat suit with the Rolex was hilarious.

Back to Battlebots, Nye always seems to say incredibly stupid things about
each robot-as a technical commentator, he isn't really technical.  I can see
the point of making it accessible for all levels of interest and knowledge,
but the Cathy Rogers voiceovers on Junkyard Wars are much more useful.
