    Re: personal challange —Chris Magno
(...) From my memory, LegOS is a new firmware that allows full c programming? will this allow you to array a variable? -- Chris Visit my newly revamped walker page @ (URL) (23 years ago, 25-Oct-01, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto)

        Re: personal challange —Rob Stehlik
(...) Yes, its a new firmware. But if you want arrays, you can do this with NQC. All you need is the new 2.0 firmware, and a relatively new version of NQC. I did some things with arrays a while ago. So, arrays are no problem, even with official Lego (...) (23 years ago, 25-Oct-01, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto)

        Re: personal challange —Chris Magno
(...) HUmm, no one has offered step by step help on this: I am running 2.0 of the firmware, Just not using NQC. I AM using the lego script and from what I remember it should make use of ALL the functions. how could a new NQC offer arrays, YET the (...) (23 years ago, 26-Oct-01, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto)

        Re: personal challange —Rob Stehlik
(...) Chris, I'm not sure why NQC would offer arrays and the scripting language wouldn't. I am certainly not the resident programming expert:) Anyway, I can send you some code when I get home. I copied the following directly from the NQC (...) (23 years ago, 26-Oct-01, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto)

(...) Once again my appreciation for Rob goes up a notch. I actually understood mostof what he said :) I was thinking, originally, about getting a 4x4 black plate, and 16 1x1 round white plates (headlights), putting the pattern of white 'dots' on (...)      (...) Dave, after i saw Rob's window robot, I new i had to do the same kind of thing using JUSt lego. so i ordered 4 parts pack (each with 1 gun) lego was late in delivering (by 3 weeks) so i called and said I never got the order. a week latter i (...)         Re: personal challange —Chris Magno
(...) ROB, you are the best.!!!!!! this bit of documentation was all the answer i needed. thank you!!! its a shame that you have to use a constant to assign the array. :( BUt this is better than nothing. I guess i have to start to learn NQC (...) (23 years ago, 26-Oct-01, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto)

        Re: personal challange —Rob Stehlik
(...) No Problem. You should check out Dave Baums books on NQC. I have them, and I would be a much better programmer if I had worked through all of the examples. But, I haven't found much time for that. I always spend more time on mechanical (...) (23 years ago, 28-Oct-01, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto)

        Re: personal challange —Chris Magno
(...) this is what i think i meant. because you have to name each array with a constant A(1) = 100 A(2) = 200 A(4) = 300 this is really no different than just a funny variable naming system A = 100 B = 200 C = 300 BUT if you could do this: var A(n) (...)    (...) Ah nostalgia. When I was a bit younger, in high school, I liquidated the high school Commodore64 lab of 30 machines, which happened to have been rat infested.    (...) Oh my, there's some memories... I got my first 5.25 disk at a TPUG meeting with PET software on it. Cost me 5 dollars for 1 floppy!
