DOn't know if this topic ever got settled, but I noticed the following on the BattleBricks site: (URL) suggests that this is possible, and pretty straightforward, too. Jeff E (23 years ago, 4-Mar-02, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto)

  Re: Beyond the Library: rtl11?

(...) Sand pits / sand boxes are incredibly fun. Put all those huge, low-ground pressure knobbly tires to work. You can get enough torque with a lego motor to throw a lot of sand around... HEY! Why don't we do a bridge event - rtlTorontoTrain (...) (23 years ago, 4-Mar-02, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto)

  Re: lube experiment

(...) Really to be a valid test you should put the worm to 24T under load. This is when a performance difference will show up. However it could be tricky to setup. The simplest way would be to lift a weight a fixed distance. Use string (non-lego if (...) (23 years ago, 4-Mar-02, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto)

  Re: lube....

(...) No I don't think anyone wants to intentionally break parts. Well they might but that's their problem. :-) And I should clarify that I don't think a design that damages parts is a poor design if its getting the job done. You did a lot better (...)   Re: New BrickDreams Site - 7 New Scenes

(...) I like these... but I got inspired to do my own. I put it up on Brickshelf (LLC) if anyone wants to borrow it. It's 1280x1024, since that's what I run at. LMK if you want it in a different res - but I encourage you to just get MLCad, l3p and (...) (23 years ago, 4-Mar-02, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto, lugnet.org.ca.parlugment)

  Interesting/fun ICON story

(...) Well the computer lab at my high school (which I will not disclose) only had one lab, and that was all ICON II's (I believe).   Beyond the Library: rtl11?

What if we did rtl11 outside of the Library. -Something with submarines or boats (ie, everyone gets one block of 2" Styrofoam SM or a flutterboard) at a public pool. I'd really love to shoot some stuff using an underwater camera mount. But then we'd (...) (23 years ago, 4-Mar-02, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto)
