  Re: Go Train Clearance

(...) Sounds like rtl Toronto: Mountain 1 :) (23 years ago, 18-Jan-02, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto)

  Re: Go Train Clearance

Don't worry about it. I only wanted it done if time and structure allowed. It looks like I'll be able to run most of the way around this time so I'm happy. I still plan to build 8 wide, so in the long term it would be nice to have one loop that I (...) (23 years ago, 17-Jan-02, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto)

  Re: T3 stuff

(...) Did you want me to build some and install them? Also, do you have busses? I have a fleet of Ball Busses. (...) I think I might be able to handle the gap with something of my own. It might be fun. Off to HomeDespot to find out! Calum (23 years ago, 17-Jan-02, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto)

  Re: More Loops at shows...

(...) Ooops! Sorry! I knew I should've written down what belonged to whom! ROSCO Pretend I'm not hanging my head in shame... (23 years ago, 17-Jan-02, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto)

Re: Bus stops (was: T3 stuff)

(...) That's a really neat bus stop! Do you mind if we use the design "down under" for our upcoming train show? James (et al), I think a few of these randomly placed around the town would look nice dont you? Especially if we have a bus of some sort (...)   Re: Train3 Updated Layout and Door Dimensions

(...) I meant maximium available width or maximum module width... But yeah, minimum width of the door would probably make more sense. (...) Actually the modules are 30.25", so without bolt heads is 31.75. Plus I left some margin in there. Calum (23 years ago, 17-Jan-02, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto)

  Go Train Clearance

Speaking of not getting things done in time: I've started the mods to let the Go train through, but frankly it's a huge task. I've got much of an entire module built as a pretty solid 22-brick-deep structure, completely overlapped brick style. I've (...) (23 years ago, 17-Jan-02, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto)

Re: Train3 Updated Layout and Door Dimensions

(...) Richard, Ben, here is what I propose: I'd like to use, say, 1/2 of the spacer nearest my layout. I'll bring a 48x48 gray plate and 3 green straight road plates to provide for the road and my buildings. My space will hold a car frame and tire (...)   Re: T3 stuff

Jeff, Holy smokes, you don't go light on the offset technic beams, do you? Just from the pictures I'm guessing 6 1x2 2-hole tech beams and a pair of 1x1 tech beams. Guess I'll have to open another couple o' technic shuttles ;) I'll have a couple of (...) (23 years ago, 17-Jan-02, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto)

Re: Train3 Updated Layout and Door Dimensions

(...) Ummm, presumably, the MINIMUM width is 32"... ie, the narrowest dimension we're forced to deal with. So I don't think putting 1x2s on all 4 side will work at all: 30.75" (width of module) + 2 x 0.75" (Thickness of 1x2) = 32.25" And then (...) (23 years ago, 17-Jan-02, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto)

Re: On the lighter side.... was (Re: use of anagram fun is bad in lugnet.general)

(...) Fine. Leave me sitting *alone*, all by myself, on the fence between the trainees and the techies... <*snif*> Dave Pretend that I'm not feeling *really* lonely right now in my own little LEGO world ;) (23 years ago, 17-Jan-02, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto)

Re: Train3: Not quite going to get done in time.

(...) What, you think we're worried? rtlToronto's always a work in progress :) We get to see an evolution over the train shows. It's nice. Do what you can, bring what you can--we're here for quality, not quantity. Dave (23 years ago, 17-Jan-02, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto)

Train3: Not quite going to get done in time.

Well there's been some unexpected extra work at work so I haven't had as much time to build as I planned on. This means my modules will not be compete for Train3. :-( The track and road are fine, so there isn't a problem with getting trains or cars (...)   town hall is complete

I finished up the roof of the town hall, and it is ready for display. My sister <insisted> on helping me out... I don't know if I'd exactly call it help though... I changed my mind about posting pics, though...since there are enough "teaser" photos (...) (23 years ago, 17-Jan-02, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto)

  Re: Video od Dave's robot

(...) Thanks Chris--I get my LUGNet confirmations sent to my work addy, thus I cannot post from home.
