Re: My first fully functioning GBC...

(...) There's a mechanism! reinforcing everything you possibly can! Looks great! Can't see the video 'cause Brickshelf has disabled videos for now. On looks alone though--wonderful job! Dave K (20 years ago, 16-Feb-05, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto, FTX)

Re: My first fully functioning GBC...

(...) I happened upon that while browsing Brickshelf a while back, and was stunned by the beauty of your design (I'm trying to copy elements of it today, as a matter of fact, but keep being ditracted by other things... like lunch). Using the panel (...) (20 years ago, 16-Feb-05, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto, FTX)

Re: My first fully functioning GBC...

(...) Ya, but it's a *happy* explosion ;-). Between this page and the SMART crate contraption, I got about 80%+ of that poorly formatted "idea list" on Steve's GBC page. The pictures and animations are great, but I wish my German hadn't collapsed (...) (20 years ago, 16-Feb-05, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto)

(...) Yep, pretty much nailed it, Tobbe. I'm going to try to install my WebCam software (again) and I'll take a video of it. I put lotsa windows in the thing so people can 'see the magic'. Thanks for checking it out! Dave K (20 years ago, 16-Feb-05, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto)

Re: My first fully functioning GBC...

(...) I can see how a new ball falls down onto the rotating brick thingie but what keeps the tower from dumping backwards into the pump while the rotating brick is out of the way? Some magic is done there. Are there sliding bricks which travels (...) (20 years ago, 16-Feb-05, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto)

Re: My first fully functioning GBC...

(...) Timed it--about 70 balls a minute, which is close to the math above... Also worked on the bin--doesn't get jammmed up nearly as frequently--works with 40-50 balls in the bin or 15 and under--sometimes, infrequently mind you, gets jammed with (...)   Re: My first fully functioning GBC...

(...) Thanks! I enjoyed it... (...) It's fine with 15 balls at once in the hopper. When it geta above that--to the brim, then sometimes it jams up (...) I'm not good with math, but the motor has an 8 tooth, and that goes to a 40 tooth--the pump is (...) (20 years ago, 15-Feb-05, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto)

  My first fully functioning GBC...

Well. Sure there's a competition in what, a week and a half... But I got my first fully functioning GBC!!! (...) A couple summers ago, I helped my father-in-law work on his new house. The forms he used were styrofoam blocks, that looked like large LEGO blocks, that were filled with concrete after they were set-up. (URL) house forms lego Steve (20 years ago, 15-Feb-05, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto)

The more I look into it and research it the more I get excited about building my concrete house. I just have to figure out how to build forms to get the shape I want.
