YEP. thats what were going to talk about NOW. Strong bad. Chris. if a SB existed that would talk about how BAD it is that "somepeople" are sheet talking, I'd point to it. BUT. I cant find one. smirk (20 years ago, 29-Nov-04, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto)

(...) MMmmmmmmmm nap. (...) How could you forget such joy??? (...) Good idea!!!!! (...) Hey no switching the beds!!!!! I already have plans of coming back, and I want the comfort as orginally provided!!!!! (...) And we do so appreciate your effort (...) (20 years ago, 29-Nov-04, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto)

  Nice bed

After living in my house for 16+ months, and after having a few guests stay over and mention that the 'spare bed' is tres comfortable, I decided to actually try it out. So on Saturday I had a little nap in the spare bed--the one with the flannel (...) (20 years ago, 29-Nov-04, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto)

Re: !!! Gameboy controller for Lego

(...) too. (...) ...and if anyone wants a Gameboy Advance cheap, I'll offer mine. I bought it in 2001, used it for about an hour, and decided it was very much a "Bad buy" (as I'm terrible at video games). I put it carefully back in the box, so it's (...)   Re: !!! Gameboy controller for Lego

(...) the other videos :) (...) Well, my classic argument is, what's a custom sensor? Is it an ultrasonic Polaroid sensor? Is it a DGPS receiver? A PC with machine vision and a pair of HDTV CCD cameras? (...) Well, the CPU/display/memory part of it (...) (20 years ago, 28-Nov-04, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto)

Re: !!! Gameboy controller for Lego

(...) (URL) That's REALLY slick. The movement of the "Wander" demo is really smooth too. Yes. Too bad we don't allow custom sensors ;-) (...) Hmmm... The whole system is not terribly cheap. You need the "Xport" which hooks up to the gameboy, and the (...) (20 years ago, 27-Nov-04, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto)

Re: !!! Gameboy controller for Lego

(...) I tore into one of these a while back. Nice PWM motor control and encoders on the wheels. The reason they don't work is that whoever coded up the PID loop to control the motors obviously had no idea what he/she was doing. I have not yet taken (...)   Re: !!! Gameboy controller for Lego

(...) The behaviour in the teach video (drive it around by hand and have it play back the motion) looks exactly what set 4095 Record and Play (URL) is supposed to do. Anyone know how it would compare, and whether the 4095 uses back-EMF or internal (...) (20 years ago, 26-Nov-04, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto)

RE: !!! Gameboy controller for Lego

(...) This has been around for a while, and they are really doing a pretty cool bit of engineering here. It's not for the faint of heart in terms of complexity, but we ARE talking about a really deeply embedded system here. :-) I'm not so much (...)   Re: !!! Gameboy controller for Lego

(...) That's REALLY slick. The movement of the "Wander" demo is really smooth too. The gameboy's not a bad idea either. It's certainly cheaper than a custom board. Calum (20 years ago, 26-Nov-04, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto)

Re: Block STACKING - feb 2005?

(...) Well Parlugment will have a train show on Feb 5-6, so I would prefer a robot weekend that is far from that. (20 years ago, 26-Nov-04, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto)

  Re: No one asked...

(...) Didn't think of that...right! (...) I don't honestly think it's a big deal. It's not the clearance of the track, it's the clearance of the gutter train itself, because the gutter is low enough. I don't think apart from DaveK's SD70ACe (which (...) (20 years ago, 26-Nov-04, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto)

  Re: Advent Calendar

  Advent Calendar

Has anyone seen the Advent Calender set in Toronto stores? I'd like to get one soon. Well, by the Dec 1, if I can. :-) Derek (20 years ago, 26-Nov-04, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto)

  Re: No one asked...

(...) How would you do it with train track? It can most likely be steeper then you can make a ramp with train track. I'm still trying to figure out how to solve the width, interference problem. Might have to give up on the racer track and build a (...) (20 years ago, 26-Nov-04, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto)

Re: The Toy Blox - Lego Superstore!

(...) Selling of Used LEGO bricks in a retail store I guess is a rare thing. I know of only one such store that does this in upstate New York, USA. The store is primarily a video gamer store. The used LEGO is just a gimmick to draw in kids and their (...) (20 years ago, 26-Nov-04, to lugnet.market.buy-sell-trade, lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto)

  !!! Gameboy controller for Lego

For all the robot guys: (URL) HAVE to watch the demo videos. Note especially the "teach" and "haptic" videos. I can't believe the level of control they are getting without encoders. Its incredible. I'm not sure I want a gameboy on my robots, but the (...) (20 years ago, 26-Nov-04, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto)

(...) LUGNET admins have heard periodic reports of this, but Todd has not yet found the issue. If you would be willing to help try to debug this, please contact Todd (or me if you're not sure how to contact Todd) with details of your setup. (20 years ago, 25-Nov-04, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto)
