Re: Lego to stop building Mindstorms?

(...) Yep. That sucks. I have already sent a message to consumer affairs. Just wanted to let them know that I was going to buy whatever they *would* have come out with in the next release of the series... Now all we need is about 1,000,000 more of (...)   Re: Steve H, C$, me learning C Brick OS

(...) I'm very sure there will be an XR7 class robot at rtl15. (x=rnd(7)) I think it would be very hard to build a complete robot that can scan the board with only one motor. I have a C$ robot with only one motor. We'll see how it does. :) Steve (21 years ago, 10-Jan-04, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto)

Re: Steve H, C$, me learning C Brick OS

(...) Alright, alright. I admit installing BrickOS is a royal pain. I guess after doing it a couple times I got the hang of it.   Re: Steve H, C$, me learning C Brick OS

(...) I have my fingers crossed that you are running an operating system that works with the 2 installer executables I put together. That would NOT be Win98 or Win95. I have heard from people running these operating systems that they get all sorts (...) (21 years ago, 10-Jan-04, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto)

Re: Steve H, C$, me learning C Brick OS

(...) A very cold breeze... :-) (...) If the "2 files" you mention are the ones I put up on bricxcc.sourceforge.net then the brickos.srec firmware should be installed to the brickos\boot directory. That's where it gets put if you do a full make from (...) (21 years ago, 9-Jan-04, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto)

Re: Steve H, C$, me learning C Brick OS

(...) Its actually not THAT hard. If I can figure it out, then anyone can. I actually made a CD for Michael with all of the necessary files and a complete set of instructions. He seemed to have no troubles after that. Rob (21 years ago, 9-Jan-04, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto)

Re: Steve H, C$, me learning C Brick OS

(...) Chris, I hate to say this, but I think you're still a long weekend away from getting BrickOS working. My suggestion would be for you to find someone who knows how to make it work (like Michael) and invite him over to dinner. When he shows up (...)   Re: Steve H, C$, me learning C Brick OS

(...) Cygwin is a program that emulates (read: pretends to be) a *nix platform on what's really windows. So you can use a Cygwin platform to run the cross-compiler and downloader and whatever else that otherwise would only work on Linux. So you need (...)
