Re: Can we have a Newsgroup for KIDLUG?

Sorry about that. I came down a little hard. Anyway, that clears it up, the document, which I'm working on right now, is about a paragraph, and it states our purpose inn a simple enough yet direct portion. If you would like, I can upload and send (...) (26 years ago, 12-Feb-00, to lugnet.org)

Re: Can we have a Newsgroup for KIDLUG?

(...) Vision statements aren't supposed to be complicated. They're supposed to be simple! I'll reiterate. Try to write in a sentence or two (a paragraph, perhaps) what you're trying to accomplish. Trust me, if you can do that you'll find the rest of (...) (26 years ago, 12-Feb-00, to lugnet.org)

Re: Can we have a Newsgroup for KIDLUG?

Excuse me but we make our own dicisions, we are 12 years old, we are specially ordering the process to make it the best it can be, and what I most can't figure out why no one understand's is that Kidlug is NOT SUPPOSED TO BE COMPLICATED. It is (...) (26 years ago, 12-Feb-00, to lugnet.org)

Re: Can we have a Newsgroup for KIDLUG?

(...) Your vision statement should be ONE SENTENCE and you should have it before you start on the other materials. Why? Because the other materials should be elaborations or expositions of the vision. They should follow from it. If you don't have a (...) (26 years ago, 11-Feb-00, to lugnet.org)

  Re: Your Feedback

(...) Yes, you ARE judging - but MORE than a 'bit too harsh.' You have ABSOLUTELY NO RIGHT to criticise these couple of kids who are putting their efforts into a project to better the online Lego communty. First off, they're 12 years old for your (...) (26 years ago, 11-Feb-00, to lugnet.org)

Re: Can we have a Newsgroup for KIDLUG?

We do have rough documents of these papers, but are not typed up yet, and are a priority. I'm writing a downloadable package, with information like this, whcih can be distributed upon the joining of membership, or upon request. If you would like to (...) (26 years ago, 9-Feb-00, to lugnet.org)

  Re: Your Feedback

Thank you for your feedback. Again, I must stress that I am aware of these things, and being a new site, we have a lot to do. Expect errors like these, and understand that everything is on a waiting list to be fixed. Aaron (...) (26 years ago, 9-Feb-00, to lugnet.org)

Re: Can we have a Newsgroup for KIDLUG?

Hi Aaron and Alex, Something often scoffed at, but which has a remarkable power to help FOCUS one's development activities on what is important, and what is something "cool we'd like to do" (yes, it happens in the "real" world too, not just in the (...) (26 years ago, 9-Feb-00, to lugnet.org)

  Re: Your Feedback

John, This is Alex of KIDLUG and I wouldnt't be talking. I bet you couldn't of done a better job than anyone else in this world. You are a very bad person to say that to some 12 year olds. What kind of people are you? You must be a jerk. (...) (26 years ago, 4-Feb-00, to lugnet.org)

Re: Can we have a Newsgroup for KIDLUG?

(...) Okay. Kidlug is designed for younger kids who are active in the LUG's. We want to give them a LUG of their own which they can relate to, and has simpler activities. To keep things simple, the only important document it has I guess would be the (...) (26 years ago, 4-Feb-00, to lugnet.org)

  Re: Your Feedback

(...) I would like you to know that Kidlug has been around for a matter of weeks. I cannot understand why anyone would expect it to be fully complete. Infact it may not be finished for months, but only so we can provide quality service. When (...) (26 years ago, 4-Feb-00, to lugnet.org)

  Re: Your Feedback

(...) Aaron and Alex, Please ignore John's statement. I don't know what possessed him to be so scathing in his remarks, and it was completely uncalled for. Personally, I think this is a good start for your site, and it is a great idea. Just fix the (...) (26 years ago, 4-Feb-00, to lugnet.org)

Re: Can we have a Newsgroup for KIDLUG?

(...) Welp, I see the text is now changed, but I'm afraid it's still incorrect. What you have there now is: LEGO User's Group Network (...) Well, frankly, I still haven't a clear idea of what KIDLUG is supposed to be or do. What city is it? Who is (...) (26 years ago, 4-Feb-00, to lugnet.org)

  Re: Your Feedback

(...) Aaron/Alex: To do this, you'll need to convert all those .bmp files to .gif files. AFAIK, most browsers don't support bmp. I'm not a big fan of purposeless animations, either... --Bram (26 years ago, 4-Feb-00, to lugnet.org)
