As most of you guessed, I meant a SCSI hard drive, not RAM. It's just that RAM
has been on my mind ;) Thanks for the SCSI v. IDE argument...Although I do
graphics stuff, I'll probably end up going with the IDE anyway, unless someone
knows where I can get a SCSI drive with a high-end desktop PC...
Right now it looks like my machine (probably a Dell) will have the following:
866-1000 MHz Pentium III processor (likely 933)
512 Mb RDRAM
30-40 Gb @ 7200 RPM hard disk
32 Mb NVIDIA geFORCE 4X AGP graphics card
Soundblaster Live! Value Digital
Harman Karman HK-595 surround sound spkrs w/ subwoofer
12X max variable DVD with Software Decoding
8x/4x/32x CD-RW
free 100Mb Zip
Win98, Office2000
Any comments, suggestions?
TIA,
--Bram

| Does anyone know of a company that sells desktop PCs with SCSI RAM? It appears that to get SCSI RAM at Dell, you need to get a workstation instead of a Desktop... TIA, --Bram (25 years ago, 25-May-00, to lugnet.off-topic.geek)
