Is it possible to run Win98 and WinNT on the same machine? —Selçuk Göre
We recently purchased I-DEAS CAD software which requires WinNT to run. Being CAD operator, I'm the one who should change his OS. I'm get used to Win98 and don't want to migrate fully to NT. So, is it possible to run both Win98 and WinNT on the same (...) (24 years ago, 25-Jan-00, to lugnet.off-topic.geek)

(...) What is it about 98 that you like that NT doesn't give you? NT 4 and 98 are quite similar in look and feel, and I'd argue that NT is a bit better in system control. Frank gave a correct answer, it IS possible. I'm just asking why do it? Unless (...) (24 years ago, 25-Jan-00, to lugnet.off-topic.geek)

(...) One thing NT gives me, that 98 doesn't, is a cute little error message indicating that one of my devices isn't responding. No mention of which device, or where to find out. And everything seems to be working, so no obvious clues. Oh yeah. On (...) (24 years ago, 1-Feb-00, to lugnet.off-topic.geek)

(...) You mean you don't get more data than you know what to do with when you go to Administrative Tools and run Event Viewer? I usually get enough data to figure out what's going on at least. Fixing it may be another problem. (24 years ago, 2-Feb-00, to lugnet.off-topic.geek)
